Ion Tool14” Crucible Tongs, Stainless Steel, Professional Grade

This crucible Tong's is exactly what I was looking for. They are sturdy, thick, and just all around well built. I would recommend this product to anyone who uses a furnace or forge. Or in general, near a very hot heat source. They also work great for picking up the smallest of graphite crucibles. All the way up to a medium sized crucibles too.

I don’t like giving 5 star reviews if there’s even a tiny thing I don’t like about something. But these are really nice. Good thick steel, very sturdy, the action is smooth. The gripper end was molded well. I’m assuming the grippy section was put on with a press of some sort.I was pleasantly surprised to find a very nice set of crucible tongs when I opened my package. I got them for use at work, the guy who is training me thinks they’re really nice too.

These tongs are well made....however the pivot point pin appears as a possible weak spot.

I am not using this for metallurgy, so I cannot tell you how well it stands up to heat. It is well made and well finished. Using it for kitchen duty, where it works very well.

They are a bit flimsy but work all right.

Seriously well made product!!

I was attempting to lift a 4" high by 3" Diameter graphite crucible containing 1 oz of Gold at 2000 F degrees. As the thongs heated they slowly bent. The crucible almost fell which could have been a major disaster for me. The seller needs to find a better stainless steel. Someone is for sure going to be seriously injured.
