A naked girl gets swept downstream and is fished out by four women fly fishers. Tales of adventure, as well as stories of renewal, discovery, and tragedy follow the five women as they find each other (and themselves) through the sport of fly fishing. Through the tales of each character, The Reel Sisters fosters the notion that fly fishing has the potential to transcend age, gender, culture, and even socioeconomic barriers, and can occasionally be the glue that binds us. The Reel Sisters is a story about the power of women friendships, and how we learn a little bit about ourselves each time we step into the river. By the end of the book, you’ll want to start planning your own Reel Sisters adventures. Review: Heartwarming Feel Good Story! - The Reel Sisters, by Michelle Cummings, was a heartwarming feel-good story about friendship and family. I definitely have to give the book five out of five stars. This group of “sisters” shares their worries, dreams, and goals. Their friendship is unwavering, without judgment. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys the outdoors and a true feel-good story. Obviously, if you are a fly fisher, you will love this book! Review: Enjoyable/Easy Read - The Reel Sisters is a good book about a group of women from different walks of life coming together over a common bond of fly fishing. Fly fishing brought them together, but the bond that they created is what kept them together. I enjoyed how their lives became entwined together, but it wasn't over done. It was a book that I really enjoyed reading. Though I really enjoyed the book, I thought that some of the storylines could have gone a little deeper, but overall it was a really enjoyable read.

Ready for the sequel
Having the time to read for fun is a luxury these days so when I pick up a book for fun it has to grab my attention right away. I found the characters well developed and interesting. The storyline kept me engaged. I found myself laughing, unable to put the book down, and even crying but most of all, it left me wanting more! Because I'm interested in learning to fly fish the information intertwined into the story allowed me to learn some important facts. Great read. I'm looking forward to the movie. Bring the sequel on!

A fairly realistic portrayal of life and friendship
I enjoyed this book. At its core, the story demonstrated how love can bond people despite minor disagreements, true fights, and private pain. It was a straightforward and beautiful read that touched and nourished my soul. It was fun to learn about fly fishing and the passion that it brings about in all kinds of people. What was even better: I could follow along even on those parts even though I know next to nothing about fly fishing. It was a great story that many adults could enjoy.

Review for: (b)The Reel Sisters(/b)
I give this Book a Rating of 3 out of 4 stars. It was a wonderfully fun entertaining informative book on many Ievels; 1.) being Friendship, (2) being able too live out side your comfort zone (3) finding a common ground, and building a relationship from it . spending time with them one on one. And then introduces them to other friends within that common ground. building the friendship to a community-based awesome friendship deeply rooted and nourished one with the other. Ok then why not give it a 4. There was so much profanity by one of the reel sisters she seemed to be a smart intelligent caring woman. But her language was an attrosity made me cringe and at times I almost stopped reading the story. The complexity of each character's personalities shows the author's talent for telling a story, and keeping you enthralled. total chapters about each character showing you glimpses of each life . An interesting side note only one character used, the profanity, till about 2/3 of the story. When a new character was introduced and became, part of the Reel sister's and was also a potty mouth. But what a character she fit the sister hood. Who would be. The audience; well just about any one who enjoys a good laugh and a cry, and learning to ty a fly, and cast a perfect fly fisherman an cast.

Highly recommend.
I had no intention of self work when I opened this book..I purely thought it was going to be a pleasure read... But now, I have to do some thinking. I feel like the delay I had in finishing it was universal intervention as I have dates coming up that on which I will be working on my release, you will understand after you read this book. I struggled putting it down. It is very well written. The characters draw you in and keep your attention. I highly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. If you are looking to be inspired to take up a new hobby, read this book. 💜

A wonderful book about hardships and friendships!
Even though this book is set around fly fishing, it is more about a group of women whose lives are intertwined through fly fishing. You don't have to know anything about or enjoy any type of fishing to enjoy this book. It takes us through the stories of 5 very different women and shows us how true friendship can sustain us through all of life's ups and downs. I'd highly recommend to women of any age who would enjoy a "feel-good" story, and maybe even a few tears!

They regularly gather at Rose’s cabin to fish and support each other through life‘s ups and downs. The book beautifully captures the essence of camaraderie, , With Rose’s cabin serving as a haven for the group. Heart-warming and entertaining
The Reel Sisters is a story of friendship, love, hardship, resilience, grief, and growth. It is a story about a group of friends who share their love of fly fishing by joining together at a cabin belonging to their oldest friend, Rose. They also help each other out with their diverse challenges. The story begins with the group of friends meeting up at the cabin and fly fishing at the river. Each part of the story shows a different point of view character so we get to understand their quirks, personalities, and lifestyles. Each friend: Rose, Sophie, Amanda, Veronica, and a new addition to the group; Melody, all join together for fly fishing and banter. The story shows a photographer by the name of Melody who ends up near the cabin, taking photos of herself in the nude. She slips and falls into the river until Veronica helps her out of the water. The friends soon befriend Melody and she forms part of their friendship circle. Throughout the course of the story, it shows each of their lives outside of fly fishing and the cabin, and each of them working through their own issues. Sophie struggles to trust in relationships; Veronica struggles with a challenging journey; Amanda works through her anxiety about her husband fighting in Afghanistan and wanting him home; Rose works diligently to cope with a traumatic past; and Melody challenges herself to break out of her social isolation. As each problem is resolved in the story, the women come together to share in a comforting ritual to work through a significant loss. What I enjoyed about this story was the well-written prose, authentic descriptions, diverse characters, and interesting plotline. I gave it four out of five stars rather than five stars as I felt the beginning of the story started off a bit slow with the developing conflict, and could have toned down on the fly fishing descriptions. The story was beautifully written but could have had the story move forward a little quicker in the first few parts, but generally, the book was an inspiring and entertaining read.

This book had beautiful themes like the friendship and care between a group of women. The women are grouped together with a common interest, fly fishing. As a person who does not fish, I was actually fascinated by the descriptions of this type of fishing and enjoyed the diversity of the characters. Overall I thought the book was good and I did enjoy reading it. I think it is probably best suited to female readers, given the strong feminine themes.
