I’m a tall electrician and hit my head many times working in attics and crawl spaces. This hat is tight to your head and the integrated led light is a nice bonus.

Got the blue one for the hubs when we go RV'ing. He's often bashing his head against the RV slide-outs or whatever is at his head-level at the time we are hooking up or disconnecting. Also, his hat size is pretty large. Fortunately, he always wears a ball-cap so, he's used to wearing head-gear. This came in and he thought it was a great idea! It's heavier than a regular ball-cap, but not excessively so. He tried it on and it fit with room to adjust it so it was more snug (huge plus). He's already used it for projects around the house. Loves the light and the short brim works better than a regular one which can create too much shade. When it arrived, it made us smile; we used to live in Okinawa and it reminded us of hats the little boys wore to school as part of their uniform.

I purchased this hat for bump protection doing work in my crawlspace. The overall design is great and it worked as expected. I like the short brim being able to look up without tilting my head up. Adequate padding inside, ventilated and reflective strips on the sides and brim edge which makes me think it could it could also be used as a "lightweight" bicycle helmet.The light switch button was easy to find and it easily illuminated everywhere I was facing on the highest setting. The low setting was fine for conserving battery life and moving around in the dark or doing tasks that didn't need detailed focus. The "flashing" mode is useless and unneeded setting for me. The light was easy to take out and it plugs right into a USB-A port for charging. Not sure how long on a full charge yet, but it allows plenty of time (couple of hours) for my use.Its advertised as one size fits all so keep that in mind. The elastic strap on the back is adjustable and probably works fine with most head sizes. It is comfortable to wear. The hat is slightly "shallow" for my macro cranium (fat head). It fits fairly snug, but not secure so I am giving only 4 stars. The elastic strap It works fine for crawlspace work, but for me, without an under the chin strap, I wouldn't use it for everyday construction since it may fall off, even with the elastic strap tight, when bending over.

I liked I could wear it all day

It's pretty cool. It's a lot better than wearing my hard hat all day. Not sure how to charge the light. Gives me better vision than the hard hat. It's less stressful on my neck. Stay secure without the chin strap.

I knew that I needed to protect my head from roofing nails when I went into the attic. But, I procrastinated. Then the day came when I picked up a box in the attic and as my head went up, I felt a nail ripping into my scalp. Luckily it wasn’t very deep but it was deep enough to bleed. I ordered this cap very soon afterwards. The first time that I wore this cap, it was less than two minutes after entering the attic that my protected head bounced off a collar beam. Which is a structural roof support 2x4 board. The cap is a little hot but not bad. The fit was good for me as it came but it had an adjusting strap. It’s taking me a little while to get into the habit of remembering to wear the cap before entering the attic but it has already saved my head several times in a short amount of days. I got the micro brim and it has worked out great. The brim is short enough, where it doesn’t block my view when trying to avoid obstacles over my head. It also serves as a shelf for my headlamp. I’m glad I bought this cap but I should have bought it before I ripped my scalp open!

I started wearing bump Caps because I am constantly bumping my head and cutting it open. Regular baseball caps have that knob on top that cuts into my scalp when I bump into something. I will be wearing bump cap from now on.
