Wood pigeons and rooks used my aerial for gymnastic training. They were breaking off the horizontal reflector bars. Since installing the the spikes I've never seen them roosting or using the aerial as springboard. So very effective but...Clips are supplied that can be used to attach the spike strips along 5mm diameter rods. They are very hard to push on. The arms on a couple of them broke (2nd photo). Also, when they do 'clip' they snap into place suddenly; enough to unbalance you. So my advice (only if you intend using the clips) is to take the aerial down and fit the spikes at a workbench, where you have better control and are less likely to break them or loose your balance.Plus points:1. The large kit came with lots of spike strips, more than enough clips and cable-ties, and a big tube of glue (a silicone tube type, so you need a gun).2. No loss of signal strength; my TV status indicated the same signal strength before and after fitting the spikes.3. Mount the spikes pointing roughly vertical and they certainly do keep birds away.4. Spikes are a clear, hard, plastic and are virtually invisible. Only noticable on sunny days when there is a clear blue sky background.

Now sitting on my tv aerial as oppossed to the pigeons! Not cheap but really do the job. They confused the pigeons at first as they had no-where to land and saw the spikes at the last minute but they had no choice but to move on (to someone elses aerial). Easy to fit (once you can get anywhere near your aerial) and remain in place easily. Also loads in the box so I have some left for other places that they (the pigeons) move to.

As i live in a semi detached bungalow with the driveway at the side, the aerial is over-hanging the drive meaning every time the car was parked there it ended up covered in droppings. I felt i had to do something about it, so after reviewing bird spikes on amazon i decided to give them a try, so i precariously got up the ladder and removed the aerial to fit the spikes at ground level, as it was more difficult and dangerous to do up in the air. I found it better to fit the spikes using the plastic ties, which held them held them in place firmly and i covered every available place for the birds to perch. So after 3 weeks since fitting them i am pleased to say ive not had a single dropping on the car and would definitely recommend them.

Keeping pigeons off the ariel at the moment so I'm very pleased..

Had years of having to clean up pigeon mess under our television aerial, but since we have had these spikes on our aerial we have had no more mess. We therefore give these spikes a five star rating and would recommend them to anybody with the same dilemma.

Thankfully I have a very good neighbour who doesn't mind heights. He secured them to my aerial using the cable ties and I am now a pigeon free zone. Fantastic!!! My awning and patio are free from pigeon droppings at last. An excellent buy.

Its has done the trick and very lightweight. Easy to fit

They were a bit difficult to put on as aerial was fixed to the apex of roof, the results are excellent. no more bird mess to clean up.The price seemed a little on the high side for what they were. but worth it for the result.
