Ancient PC fixed.
Perfect for an ancient Acer X3400 which had to be back up and running ASAP. Next day delivery of a fully functional HDD was needed :)I really had doubts that I would find an HDD for a board with SATA II interfaces but this saved the day.

Absolutely brilliant thanks just what it said on the tin apart from formatted it and instead of the 320gb I was sald it was 298gb,not a big drama nut would've it rather say about 300 some a little more some a little less.I brought this drive over standard generic one for recent floureon cctv system,my 8year old could've sorted it it was that easy. The drive is silent as it's next to my 320gb PlayStation3 and the Ps hd is twice as loud. Now as for buying drives again and I will be doing in the near future as I'm planning to stop my old system (pc) and create a R.A.I.D array and it will be at least a western digital caviar blue or if not red so poss like 3/4 1TB standard size drive and then like a 120gb sad for op sys and drivers that will be used as a home server that every morning dumps over it stuff to like R.A.I.D 10/50 or whatever works at the time. Now I don't know the difference between the blue drives and the red ones apart from price but the google is your friend and my guess is they class them safer less corruptible and overall just better pieces of kit,but as for mine I'd buy ten they knock spots off any drive I've ever brought.

Limited choice for low capacity drives but I have good experience with WD
To be honest I did not pick on brand although the WD ones are probably my favoured one for 3.5 inch drives like these. I simply wanted a cheap low capacity drive as the lowest cost replacement to a failing drive. There are not many low capacity drives around these days and so it was simply a bonus to get a WD one.

4 Star because the Harddrive doesn't perform as well as I hoped, but it's still a great HDD.I do get issues with it freezing explorer when the drive is being overused, but can't complain for the price.Still an amazing harddrive.

Just what I needed!
I was recently given a good computer lacking just its hard drive. Not wishing to take one from my current machine I was looking for something reasonably inexpensive but good enough to try out the basically 'barebones' Dell Precision T35600. The Western Digital Caviar Blue is just the job for this and I can now run a few tests before deciding what to do next. Excellent buy, I've used Western Digital hard drives before, and never had a problem with them. I usually build my own computers. Good bits of kit WD.

So far so good.
I purchased this for a home CCTV setup before I fully understood the WD colour coding. Despite that it has so far performed without issue. What more needs saying?

Western digital 360 GB hard drive. Well priced. Well packed in anti static & bubble envelope. Works fine. No problems installing Vista OS onto it as an emergency pc backup option.

Unable to give review as not used
Can’t really give a review as it was incompatible with what I needed it for, therefore have returned it.
