Effective sole repair
Purchased to fill-in some gaps in a relatively-expensive pair of Sorel slippers, where annoyingly, the rubber sole had come loose, and was gradually detaching and peeling off. This seems to have fully stabilised the issue, and having applied in 3 layers, achieved a smooth blend with the rest of the original sole. Can't vouch for longevity, as these will only be used indoors, but has formed quite a solid layer after drying for a few days - and seems well adhered to the rest of the rubber sole plus the fabric base that was exposed.

Great for building heels up
I use it to build up the heels of my walking trainers as I wear the heel but the rest of the shoe is OK. Works a treat. Clean the old heal surface with a solvent to get it really clean. Tape a piece of plastic coated card (e.g. from a bread roll packet) around the heel to keep the shape and apply in layers.

Doubtful, but it works
I used this for the first time, despite a shoe repairer's advice that "nothing works". But it has worked, filling various cracks and small holes in a pair of well-loved and well-used shoes. Not easy to obtain a perfect finish [smoothing with an ice block helped] - hence the 4, but it has stuck to the rubber sole securely and is holding. I am pleased I tried it. How long it will last remains to be seen, but it is always possible to add some more.

Managed to repair a hole on the sole of my favourite boots!
I had a lovely pair of black suede boots that I suddenly found had got a hole in the sole. I went to Timpsons to get them repaired and they told me there was nothing I could do. I looked online and people seemed to have used this Shoo Goo so I thought I would give it a go. I would recommend looking on YouTube at how people apply it as I found this really useful. I cleaned the sole and tidied up around the hole and then waited until it was dry. I then put a thin layer of the Shoo Goo over the hole and spread it so it extended around it. I then let this dry overnight and repeated this about three times. It goes on shiny but once you have walked on it it soon loses the shine. You need to try and smooth the Goo so it is not lumpy on the sole (I used an old plastic knife). Also when you put the top back on the tube just make sure that the Goo is cleared from around the top and I also stuck a wooden stick down into it so the Goo wasn't right up to the top as apparently it can dry out. When wearing my boots I can feel the repair a bit but without this my boots would have had to be thrown away. I am really pleased that I am extending the life of the boots especially when Timpsons had written them off. Just shows that sometimes you should take matters into your own hands and the internet is great for finding solutions!

So far so good
Can't get a local repair shop (Inverness) to even TRY to repair my worn ECCO walking boots, so I tried Shoe Glue on one pair of Eccos and one pair of Merrills. Put two layers of SG on each pair of heels with 24 hours between coats. Left 'em for 72 hours and then walked my dog. Both pairs of boots have done a couple of forest / beach walks of between 4 and 5 miles and the repairs have stood up well. These repairs were solely (pardon the pun!) built up repairs, ie, there was no replacement heel glued on. So Far, there is no sign of the edges fraying or the repair becoming unstuck. I intend keeping an eye on this and if it looks like a permanent solution it is TONs cheaper than getting boot resoled, hence the 'so far, so good' title to this review.

Best shoe repair product I've found
Bought the black version primarily to repair a pair of good quality black Clarks shoes which have had extensive use and were showing signs of the sole separating from the body at one heel. I'd previously made unsuccessful attempts to carry out the repair using an expensive contact adhesive but Shoe Goo was much more successful. I degreased and abraded the areas to be glued then got the goo into the right place with the aid of cocktail sticks. I've been wearing the shoes for a couple of weeks now and the repair appears to be rock solid. The goo sets like a fairly hard rubber. I left the shoes for 3 days before using to be on the safe side. I also managed to make an effective repair to some holes in an old canvas work bagThis stuff now joins my "must have" repair list alongside Milliput - I can see it being invaluable for any number of repairs.UPDATE: Have carried out lots of repairs snd still rate this very highly. BUT, it's very important to make sure that material to be repaired is dry, free of grease, well abraded and I would advise leaving 3 days before using after.

Works well but over priced
This product works really well but way too expensive.

Works on other rubber products too.....
You cab, of course, fix shoes with this but I wanted it for another purpose. If you're looking at buying this for shoes then, in all honesty, there isn't much point in you reading much more of this review, but thanks for your time. This stuff is basically like a thick, liquid rubber. I have an old Alfa on which the rubber seals which run along the top of the waistline of the door, and into which the windows lower had started to crack at the back edges. The part is no longer available from the manufacturer, so I needed to attempt a repair, hence the purchase of this stuff. It was a bit fiddly, but I have to say its worked very well. I cleaned the area then applied it, and I though it was going to look a bit messy, but as it dries, it tends to level out into a smooth surface. Its covered and filled in the old, cracked rubber and left a neat finish. Its a bit shinier than the rest of the rubber on the seal, but nothing that some black trim polish can't sort out and its improved things a lot, and reduced significantly the chance of water ingress into the door.
