Replacement Brass Ceramic Disc Tap Insert Gland Cartridge Quarter Turn BSP 1/2" x 20 Teeth x 53mm

Ceramic tap cartridges are a bit of a minefield, with umpteen measurements to check, the number of splines on the shaft, direction of rotation to open/close the tap... etc. These cartridges fit my kitchen tap perfectly, and all the information was provided on the product page. Fitted, they work well, with smooth movement and good control of the water flow. A little dab of silicone grease on the 1/2" BSP thread and rubber olive helps, but they can also just be swapped in for a failed or failing tap cartridge. Just check your measurements before ordering!

Leaking Tap? Don't replace the tap just replace the cartridges. These are ceramic quarter turn and will fir most standard kitchen taps including monobloc mixer taps. The quality was acceptable, it fixed the leak and are still working some years later.

Fitting was very easy and dripping tap has been cured! Needed to take care to get exactly the correct dimensions when ordering - I could not remember the tap manufacturer or model and so had to measure everything I could on the old valve and search for the identical replacement amongst the dozens advertised. Thankfully got it right!

all fine ad a little o ring as a spacer for tap handle to take up small bit of play but all good looks well made time will tell like extra parts to replace in future fingers x would recomend and buy again thank you

Very happy to find these. Despite the spline being slightly longer, the overall size matches cartridges for the Blanco Arti BM4552CH. Although limited, there are alternatives, but they are ridiculously expensive at ~£30 a pair including postage (given the whole tap is generally a little over £100). I must admit, these do not appear to be as robust as the originals. The silicon (red/blue) gaskets don't look like they will last. Hopefully they will be replaceable. I have also had to order an aerator for £12. Absolute madness, the plumbing industry should be forced to comply to standard sizes, simply on the basis of sustainability.

Bought to cure dripping cold side of monobloc tap. Fitted ok, no leaks or drips so far (1week). Kit includes H & C cartridges, spare ceramics and seals, if it lasts ok then fantastic value for money. Still ok after 2 years
