Way over priced
I love Ernie Ball products and I guess that is why I impulsed bought this. But $18 for this? Way over priced. Seriously could have gotten a package of two for $8. Or even two of those for what I paid for this. It is nicely constructed and probably last a long a time. But I guess I wanted that Ernie Ball logo LOL. I will learn next time not to be so hasty.

Does the trick!
You pay a little bit more for the EB name on it, but it's a good wrap!

Super easy and effective way to get rid of "mechanical noise"
I spend most of my time playing punk rock music on a Fender Jaguar, which is a guitar notorious for its "mechanical noise. " That's the extra chimey resonances that occur in places where strings are stretched between pivot points on a guitar. On the Jaguar these points exist above the nut and below the bridge. In general, I'm not too bothered by mechanical noise (punk is meant to be noisy), but there are some times when I'd prefer to sound tighter and stop all the chimey aharmonic sounds that arise from undamped strings. This Ernie Ball Fretwrap (by Gruv Gear) is perfect for those times.I can wrap the FretWrap around the neck and keep it above the nut to dampen resonant sounds from the between the tuning pegs and nut, and it's also maneuverable enough to slide under the strings between the bridge and the stop tail where the strings attach. If I wanted to, I could use two FretWraps in this way to eliminate probably 90% of those mechanical noises and sound much tighter. On one of my other guitars—a 1970s Ibanez ST 50 with a tune-o-matic bridge—the FretWrap is only really necessary above the nut, but can also be slid down past the nut to dampen strings during a solo or when tapping. It's amazing how much a little string damping can help during those times. The quality on the Ernie Ball model is impressive, and I have no doubt it will last for years to come. I'm also pleased to see Ball licensing the Gruv Gear trademark, giving props to the originator of the FretWrap. overall a great product!
