The top rim is uncomfortable, sharp even, when it could have been rounded. it is possible to turn the 2 rims upside down, and that edge IS rounded, but the bolts stick upwards, with the bolt head underneath. With time, this may improve playing style, but I doubt it. All it does is remind me not to handle the drum like a rounded Egyptian Doumbek. Dont do it like that. This is such a stupid design error.The body metal is quite thin, but that does make it a budget drum. It is top heavy, which makes it less easy to handle, (with the unfriendly edge). It may be good for strumming, or very light tapping technique, but it does not convey confidence to beginners. I have not compared it to the V-105 which is only a bit more.

Good sound, perfect for Arabic parties, pretty good size for the price, only thing is the screw type things sometimes hurt
