Sailor fountain pen ink bottle very black 13-2001-220 (japan import)

This is my favourite ink. Not the darkest black ink available, but pretty dark, completely neutral black with beautiful carbon sheen that doesn't get annoying.No feathering on any paper, behaves well. Similar to Platinum Carbon, but this one has much more sheen and will smudge more under wash.Drawings look amazing with this, it has sort of 'printed' appearance.I keep it in my vintage Pelikan 100N and had zero problems with it.Pure black ink that is eye-candy, I wouldn't be without it, get it unless you hate sheen or need to put watercolor washes over it. And of course is pigmented, so shouldn't be left in the pen to dry out.

Came well packaged and in good time. I needed an ink that was somewhat water-resistant. I use this ink with my Lamy Safari and only have good things to say so far. Excellent deep black with a matte finish when dried, gives it a very rich look. Smooth to write with and not excessively wet for me. I was initially worried that it may clog my pen but that has not happened so far, despite not using my pen for a week once. It is pretty pricey and I do wish for it to be cheaper but hey, it's good.

Pure black ink. Highly water resistant (although it will smudge unless it's quite dry which does take a while). People are wary of this type of ink in their fountain pens but I've used it in a TWSBI and Platinum 3776, both of which are very air-tight when capped, and a Pilot Custom 74 which doesn't boast about this as a particular feature.

This is by far and away one of the best inks I have ever used.Positives+ The ink is not very 'runny'.+ The ink does not seep.+ The ink has a very nice rich deep colour.Negatives- The ink requires pens to be used regularly, otherwise the fountain can get blocked.

If you love dark inks, look nowhere else, this is yours...It has a very nice carbon-dark matte finish.Although I personally have had no issues so far, bear in mind this ink is pigmented...it will probably stick lightly to your nib, and I would not suggest leave it in your favorite F. pen for a while.The incorporated filling system is also very useful.

A little dry ink. Doesn't flow as wet as some other sailor inks. Otherwise good deep colour

Not as dark as I had been lead to believe, but as a dark grey it's a great ink.
