Zinwell Sky Quad LNB for SKY HD

We needed this item to change from a single LNB to enable our sky+ box to work properly. Item genuine boxed new Sky LNB. Great quality and easily fitted. Took maybe 10 mins to fit to dish though making a hole through wall and fixing cable took the longest. Adjuster bracket for old style dish was well made and a perfect fit. Absolutely no problem with dish alignement afterwards and Sky Plus now works perfectly. Wish we had purchased a quad LNB 3 years ago when we first bought the Sky+ box. It was much easier to install than we thought, though we did some homework on the internet and looked at a couple of videos on YouTube before fitting it. Item received within 2 days of order even with xmas mail. Very pleased as our local shop wanted to charge £35 for a very similar item.

Have had Sky for over 12 years, using the same dish and LNB. When I got up the ladder and had the first look in all that time was somewhat surprised to find the LNB mounting was held in place with wrapped around insulating tape. We won't go down the road of identifying who fitted it, maybe this is a routine way of fitting LNB's!!Anyway the supplied fitting worked perfectly (the one that fits into the tube rather than around it) It did need a little light trimming so that it would fit without jamming in the tube. There was no visible means of fixing the mounting into the tube, so I simply copied the original and wrapped it with insulating tape, its worked well for 12 years, so why not!!The satellite line-up was spot on without any alteration, indeed it seemed to be marginally better than the old one. Which is just as well as I accidentally dropped the old LNB and mount which smashed on the concrete twenty feet below.The only thing I would like to see though is a couple of push-on water-proof covers for the unused connections to keep out any moisture.Good product though...recommended.

Item that arrived looked exactly the same as the one I was replacing. However after removing the old LNB and trying to fit the new one it would not locate properly in position due to two small plastic "Lugs" inside the square tube so I removed them. I also had to bend a small metal retaining " Lug", which slides over the end of the square tube to hold it in place, up slightly to allow LNB to locate properly.Obviously a slight change in Engineering Tolerances.After refitting the "F Plug" connections everything worked OK.If your not used to working with "F Plugs" and they have to be refitted onto the cables you may find it a "Trying" and awkward job.The "F Plugs" on my LNB are screw on types and care should be taken when preparing the cable to take an "F Plug" !The plug is retained on the cable simply by the grip of the Screw section of the "F Plug" on the Plastic coating of the Cable.Therefore preparing the right length of exposed inner conductor, insulation . screening and outer plastic coating is critical to get a GOOD fixing.It should have been a ten minute job but refitting one "F Plug" that fell off caused me problems.I HATE "F PLUGS"!!!!!

I only gave this 3 stars because the bracket that holds the LNB onto the Sky dish, "post," is rubbish. one of them, the one that fits internally to the ,"post," is far too bog to go into the hollow "post of my Sky dish. The other bracket, the one with the spirit level that fits over the "post," is frail and the little plastic fixing peg that goes through the hole, broke as soon as I presented it to the hole. The plastic of the bracket is thin, and not too strong. After the peg broke, I had to fix the bracket to the Dish "post," with a double strand of 2.5m.m copper wire. It is stable but I should not have had to do this. To ensure it's strength I bound the whole lot with self amalgamating rubber tape, and then dust tape. But the LNB is perfect a strong signal with a high quality too.

This product is really good and best of all simple to fit. I fitted this to an other dish that had a single port LNB. Swapped that out in minutes and now I have a dual channel input into a second living room for a dual tuner recorder. Simply take off the old LNB, attach the older dish adapter (mine is on the position 2 indicator) and then slot back onto dish and connect cables, job done.Some of the other reviews have criticised the lack of instructions but its so simple you shouldn't really need any.

Bought one of these using Prime as a matter of urgency ,had already put scaffold up and ladder as sat dish awkward to access,Amazon mistakenly sent me a crappy rubber torch instead! Had engineer mate arranged to fit it and align it on a bank holday weekend as we had no tv without it and because of Amazons mistake i will have to pay him twice to call,explained to customer care but they were more concerned with getting their torch back!

This was delivered within 48 hours of ordering . I fitted this to an old mark 1 sky mini dish , using the Mk4 adapter , you will need a 32mm long M5 nut and bolt to secure the adapter to the arm. It took 15 minutes to fit this LNB . No dish aliment was needed . Fantastic picture on all channels. will worth the money , in fact its was a bargain
