This little 'clip on'UV steriliser is great, but you need to make sure you have the right size filter to push it into. There was very limited choice in my aquatic shops...I had to go out and buy a new filter so wasn't too hard to sort, once I'd got this filter in hand. I suggest you do remember to take this little steriliser with you...I had to do a second run!

I had my doubts that a single LED could work and doubt is correct. Using it in a 30L tank with only Caradina Shimp. The tank is a new set up but I broke it in slowly over 6 weeks. The green algae has been bad. I filtered the algae out until the water was crystal clear and took 5L out and added a fresh ROI then put the UV on a fluval power filter. Within 48 hours it had gone green again. I then filtered it clear again and started again this time limiting the flow to give the UV a better chance...same result. I'd love to know if Fluval have any evidence to prove the system works.

I’ve purchased two of these for my nano tanks (10 litres and 7 litres), and unfortunately, they just don’t work as expected. Despite running them 24/7, I still had to turn off my tank lights for days and do multiple water changes to clear the algae. Once the water was clear, I resumed using these lights, but the algae returned within just a few days. Sadly, they seem ineffective and haven’t made any noticeable difference.

Really disappointed in this product. Worked wonderful up until now but it’s just stopped for no reason and the algae I bought this for has bloomed one more.

In conjunction with using gravel cleaner this seems to have cured our algae problem.

Does not work, I've got a small aquarium so shouldn't have been a problem, the led's output of 500mw is just not strong enough to make any difference, which is a shame because the concept is great.
