Awesome wifi quality
Very easy to configure and delivers great speed and reliability in heavily congested wifi areas. I bought it because the entire block of flats where I live is full of 2.4 and 5GHZ networks and coverage and quality was really poor. With this new tri-band AP benefiting from the not yet popular 6Ghz band I achieved great coverage and speed on Wifi 6E. But even Wifi 6 (which goes on 5Ghz) delivered better speeds and quality than my previous 5Ghz router that was NOT Wifi 6. My phone (Galaxy S22 ultra) was already Wifi 6E ready but for my laptops I had to buy new Wifi 6E cards.All-in-all well worth the price. I just hope others will not read my review and neighbours stay off th 6Ghz band :P

simply amazing
this is the second WAX6 10 I have purchased. I was so impressed with the ease and proformance of the first unit I brought the second unit to add my wifi coverage down my garden into my home office. I was amazed how simple it was to link the two units and have a seamless wifi connection in my house and now into my home voice. Both units are connected via cat6e and though the app - I just confirmed the registration and app did the rest.

Does what it says on the tin
I got this a little over a week ago. Setup using PoE and was easy to configure. I signed up to the NETGEAR Insight app. Which allowed me to setup and configure the AP with Minimum fuss. I did find however that the 3 802.11AX (Wifi6) Devices I had, connected at a maximum of 800mbps. I looked into the issue and logged onto the AP directly. In there was a grayed out option set to AC. It was managed by insight. But I could not find a option in insight to manage it. I set the AP to stand alone mode and was able to change the option to AX and all clients started connecting at 1200Mbps. Keeping in mind when you move away it drops off pretty quickly. Also all 3 devices showed they are connected to WiFi6 standard with ether a prompt or change of the WiFi icon.Other than that, the AP has worked perfectly and I have had no issues relating to it. Throughput seems to be pretty good. Getting fairly steady 40-47MBps to a LAN connected NAS when transferring large files from an other room to the AP and about 15feet in distance though solid brick wall.Over all I am happy. Never thought I'd say that about a netgear product. But its doing what its meant to.

Solid Access Point
This is a good access point and easily covering a three bedroom house, I have turned down the radio power from 100% to 50% and it still working strong (second Floor). The only problem with this device is when it’s factory reset, it will always attempt to connect to Netgear Cloud management, this will cause the Zero Day (Web GUI) to act strange and ignore applied settings if it’s connected into Netgear Cloud previously.Workaround is simple, configure this device not connected to the internet and it will behave and work locally, I assigned a static IP via MAC address on router and then blocked the IP from outbound connections.Once it’s configured it’s fine and rebooting is also fine, just initial setup could be a pain.

September 2023 Update: Software issues and lack of support
September 2023 Update:Sadly, I've had to return this for a refund due to what I believe is a software issue and a lack of being able to contact Netgear. Two firmware upgrades ago, I noticed that the 5Ghz band kept turning off even though I hadn't changed any settings since I did the initial setup. Rebooting the AP didn't fix it, but surprisingly, toggling (e.g. on to off then on again) some extra settings (such as the WMM toggles) would bring back the 5Ghz band... until the last device disconnected, at least. I tried to open a support case with Netgear, but all I received was a "somethingWentWrong" error message, and their chatbot just told me that there were no representatives available (at 1pm UK). I contacted Amazon support, and even they couldn't get through to Netgear, so they gave me the option to return for a refund. Given the issues I've had with this, and the lack of working support, I cannot recommend Netgear, especially if they're charging this much.Original Review:Initial setup was a pain as unchecking the built-in DHCP server would cause the access point to freeze during setup. I then left all settings as default (except passwords) which got me through initial setup but again, trying to disable the DHCP server would freeze it. I tried to search for updates but it claimed it couldn't connect (despite other features and even clients working). I had to manually update it to the latest firmware which did fix my configuration issues at least.Mounting it on the roof was fairly straightforward but whoever designed the space for the ethernet cable was clearly not thinking with compatibility in mind. You'll need a flat ethernet cable with as small a connector as possible otherwise it'll not fit and/or damage the AP and cable. The space is just too small and really shouldn't be where it is.I did some initial tests before mounting it to make sure it worked but then fully tested it after installing it. Internet download speed was as expected at 1 Gbps and internal iperf3 tests showed slightly faster (connected via 2.5Gbe). It wasn't until I started to take steps back that I noticed the speeds drop massively. Overall connection quality is great but as soon as you add a few metres the speeds will drop as low as a quarter.I kept it because I had already mounted it, but I'd probably look elsewhere due to the speeds. If speed wasn't of concern then this provides signal to the entire house.

Great piece of Kit
Setup 2 of these in a HMO of 6 rooms. Easy to install, with great features such as load balancing, and fast switching between the 2 APs

Great AP - especially if using Insight
A great, quality AP that is fast, meshes, works well on PoE and handles a lot of clients in a crowded spectrum.I now installed lots of these - no problems at all. Particularly good if you use the Netgear Insight environment (free 1st year with product) - it makes network management a doddle.

overall they work fine, but no seamless roaming
have two at home, as a standalone, they work fine, but not together.now I have them for over one year, the free Insight cloud management expires, I change to local management, since there is no AC for them and the mesh setting only supports in Insight cloud, and they don't support 802.11r. so no seamless roaming, have to switch wifi off and on to connect to the stronger signal, a bit of pain.
