I bought this to pump new automatic transmission fluid into the gearbox on my BMW. The filling/level plug (it's a "keep going until it overflows" type gearbox) is on the side of the box right under the centre of the car and not very accessible, so without a pump of some sort this is nearly impossible to do. Good points: It worked, I'd have struggled without it (a funnel and a long hose would be the other option, but I would've spilled more of my very expensive ATF). The aluminium nozzle is a nice touch, that helped me hook it into the box so I didn't have to hold it in place whilst I pumped in 7 L of fluid. Cons: Doesn't transfer much per stroke of the plunger, so it takes a while. The tube supplied is nowhere near long enough (it's about 50 cm) to reach under the car so I swapped it for about 4 m of 5 mm bore PVC tubing, which did the job. For this price I was quite happy and will use it again. If you buy this to do that sort of work under a car definitely get yourself a longer tube so you can sit next to the car whilst you're pumping.

I bought this as a cheap option for aiding refilling my gearbox oil on a van that had terrible access to the filler hole. The hook style nozzle pushed into the hole and stayed put - it did not fall out once nor pull loose despite lots of movement from me pumping the bottle. The flow rate per pump is good and fairly fast but it does take a lot of pumps to get the entire 1litre bottle transferred. Others have complained the pump push rod leaks, and yes there is minor leakage after a few minutes of use but it's really trivial and poses no issue whatsoever. You just need to wipe the bottle neck at the end. All-in-all this made easy work out of a hard job and is well worth the twenty pound price tag.

Terrible design, the pump unit came apart and all the pieces under tension shot out. I was in the middle of a job using this and it let me down

Very handy pump. Abit slow especially if your under the car in a driveway. And after 3 uses the pump inside came apart. I managed to get it back together.

Worked exactly as intended and for a good price. Decent quality ment it'll last a fair few oil changes

So having never had to use a pump to fill a car with oil before (Really Honda!!) I must admit after regaining my lost sense of humour I was pleasantly surprised at how good and easy this pump did the job. I just wish I had googled the job before starting. i can see a million uses for these and they do not pump little bubbles into the stream of liquid (Bonus) so great for reverse bleeding (Honda hydraulics) Very recommended.

L'ho utilizzato per l'olio del cambio automatico e devo dire che sono molto soddisfatto, non ha perso una goccia d'olio ed ha funzionato benissimo. Naturalmente solo per lavori hobbistici e per uso santuario. Un professionista impazzirebbe 🤣

With this i change the gear box oil without taking apart my minicar. the metal part fit perfect while pumping in the oil.
