Good stuff!
I've been using an airbrush for a couple of years on and off, so I am a slightly experienced newbie. While I initially got into airbrushing for flat surface art, pretty much all of my time and effort has gone into painting 3D models. I don't do miniatures, but I 3D print and resin cast decorative objects, usually of animals, realistic, cartoon and fantasy. When I saw this on a YouTube video, I had to try it. I've mixed this with Createx paint, Mission Models's paint, thinned down acrylic paints of various types, and off-brand airbrush paints I've bought here from Amazon. This intermix has blended in nicely with every single paint I've introduced it to.But, I really wanted to know if this intermix really does toughen up paint, so I tried scraping at models I airbrushed with straight paint, and airbrushed with paint that had this intermix in it. I didn't really notice a difference, but the paint that had this intermix did seem more resistant to chipping. Then I wondered how this intermix might strengthen mediums against water....With some of my models that turn out really nicely, I'll airbrush gloss topcoat on them. It's just a water based mix from US General Art Supply but with patience, you can get really glossy "wet" appearances. So, I took two resin castings that I'd cast into a "jewelry" mold tray. I painted both with metallic paints, let them dry overnight, then airbrushed gloss topcoat on them. However, with one casting, I just shot the topcoat on straight from the bottle. For the other casting, I mixed in a goodly amount of this intermix, probably about 15-20%, more than recommended. Again, I let the topcoat dry overnight.I then tossed each casting into it's own cup of water and left them there for nearly five hours.Removing the castings, not only did the casting whose gloss topcoat came straight from the bottle have heavy dissolution of the topcoat, but the water had lifted the paint on the casting's underside as well!By contrast, the casting that I sprayed with gloss topcoat that had this intermix was just fine and showed no dissolution at all. That result is more than enough to make this product a keeper in my airbrushing arsenal.Would I get better results with a direct polyurethane mix? Probably. And while I'm sure adding this to paint does introduce some toxicity (I airbrush with a fume extraction booth, and wear a respirator), I think it's at least a bit cleaner than going with a straight polyurethane paint/topcoat.With as good as this stuff has worked for me in my limited testing, I may try my hand at outdoor decorations and fishing lures!

Works great to set Army Painter Speed Paint
I use MMA-001 intermix to set Army Painter Speed Paints, which seem to have an issue with reactivating. I mix the MMA-001 Intermix with most of my acrylic paints for miniature painting to give a durable finish that withstands lots of handling. I have mixed the MMA-001 with many different lines of acrylics from Vallejo to Army Painter as well as mediums like LiquiTex without any issues. The MMA-001 does take a while to fully set, somewhere around 24 to 48 hours, so before the miniatures hit the tabletop I usually let them set a while before throwing them in the arena.

Useless
This stuff didn’t even last me 6 months before it became a useless bottle of goo, which harden up. I ended up throwing it away. I tried to contact the company to get an explanation of what was going on, but they never responded. Bottom line, save your money and buy a good varnish to protect your paint job. You don’t need this stuff away, the paint shoots fine without it.
