Instant effect.
I was very dubious about this product but thought it was worth a try. I am an experienced dog owner having had six German Shepherds over a thirty five year period. I consider myself to be a good dog trainer and never had any problems with any of my GSDs. My present dog is a sixteen month old intact male yellow Labrador. He is bright as a button and very energetic. His training has been straight forward except for him being reluctant to walk at heal until he has had major exercise. A friend recommended the training spray claiming that she had used it and had been impressed. I took my Lab out for a walk and he started pulling and would not walk at heal. I used the spray once with one short blast facing down in front of his chest. I did not let him see the spray. It had the desired effect immediately with him stopping his pulling and following my instruction to walk at heal. I praised him for walking to heal and he stopped his pulling entirely for the rest of the walk. I have had him out several more times and he continues to walk at heal without pulling at all. A couple of times when he looked as if about to pull I made a hissing sound and showed the flat of my hand low down in front of him. I am astonished at how well the spray has worked (so far) and am happy to recommend it to anyone. One important thing to realise is that this spray can be used as a training aid. Do not think that it is a magic potion and will work by itself.

works quite well so far.
I have two Rough Collies ,but the youngest one is very noisy when someone comes to the door and when someone comes in, she does not know what the word quite means It has got to the point that she keeps on when someone comes in to do household replacements and then she starts the other one off . the two are very friendly and only wants to see someone . We have owned Rough Collies for the past 25 years and know that they are a noisy dog, I was trying to think the other day what we used when our other Collies used to bark and all Could remember was we used to call it the goose can.,this was the last resort we had tried other methods and failed ,when it was delivered Was eager to try it out ,so far so good. it seems to stop the barking when you remember to pick it up hopes it will continue to work ,long time the only draw back is the cost not many sprays in the can.

A miracle product
This is an excellent product and does exactly what it claims to do. My 5 month old mini schnauzer was a very enthusiastic barker; every dog we met; in the garden; when the door bell rang- she wound herself up into a frenzy. I bought the product in desperation, based on the reviews and, if I'm honest, without much hope. The first time I used it, it brought instant silence- it did frighten her a lot; she trembled, but went quiet. I used it once more outside on a walk and got the same result. I have not needed to use it again!!!! My tip: point the nozzle upwards away from the dog; it's very loud and it's the noise the does the trick. You must give the command at the same time- I said "Quiet!". Now, after only two uses, I only need to say quiet. I carry the carton with me on a walk and occasionally I show it to her as a warning. This size is small enough to fit into a pocket so useful for taking on walks.

VERY EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT YOU GET.
I got this to 1) try to stop a very large, very mischievous kitten chasing my elderly cat, 2) stop him jumping on the kitchen tops 3) climbing and ruining my decorated walls , 4) clawing the furniture and generally driving me to insanity!!! It helps occasionally but only with a very large blast, which goes a long way to emptying the can VERY QUICKLY. I will buy it again, only because I get occasional results but begrudge the price for the very small amount of use it gives.

Doesn't work well
My dog only barks when she's very excited eg. visitors arriving or we're starting out on a walk and it didn't stop her. Might be good if your dog barks for no apparent reason in the house - I don't know. Also it ran out after the few times I tried it. Waste of money I'm afraid. What works best when we leave the house for walk is to give her something to hold in her mouth - a frisbee for example. And if she's barking a welcome at visitors, an old-fashioned water spray (I used a washed-out cleaning spray - you don't have to buy anything specially. Works very well. When she was a pup it also stopped her jumping up. Totally harmless. Remember never ever to spray it when they're not barking or jumping up of course! ~And - of course again - to praise them when they're behaving politely!

Worth every penny
This pet corrector has already transformed my 9 month old Cocker Spaniel who was barking at everything. Now all I have to do is either say "Stop it" in a serious voice, or show him the pet corrector and he usually skulks off looking worried instantly. I would say he doesn't like the hiss but is not frightened of it - he now knows who is boss again! I have two dogs and getting out of the door for a walk was awful - the young dog jumping on the older dog and grabbing his lead and both dogs barking - now I can exit the door reasonably calmly and set off walking straight away without a battle. I was not sure it would work at first and needed to press the cap quite strongly for a really good hiss to get his attention, but after a few times he really started to react quickly and now understands the cue word means stop what you are doing immediately. Compared to all my text book training efforts this is so easy and even though I have always tried positive reinforcement rather than negative in the past I am now convinced this is far more effective with a strong willed dog and much quicker and more convenient.

HO….LY….CRrrrrrapppp! This thing works! I have the biggest, smartest, yet dumbest doodle ever. She’s a puppy (only 8 months old) but she’s Huuuuge! So the normal bad puppy behaviors are multiplied exponentially! Take for instance the nice gate we have to keep her out of the living room. She hurdles that thing like Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone! She’s the one we WANT to keep out of the room but she jumps over the dang thing without even touching it! Enter….the Pet Corrector….dun dun dun! ONE TIME PEOPLE! I sprayed that thing one time before she stopped jumping the thing! Had I known it was going to work so well, I would have recorded the first time I used it! Now, she stands behind the gate or just at the gate waiting for us! I NEVER thought she would listen! This little bottle is a miracle worker! I’ve also used it when the dogs were barking from their cages upstairs. I sprayed it in the stairwell leading up to the room and 💥 they stopped barking! Another example: River the idiot and my little dog Auggie always make a run for it when we come in the back gate. I’ve chased their butts down the block too many times. I put this little guy in my purse and blasted it just outside the gate and say “step the fluff back!” and they step back instantly! Now, of course it doesn’t last long. It’s a tiny canister. I got the small one to start off just to see if it would work. I didn’t expect it to last long. I’ve used about 15-20 blasts and I’m still going. I just use short blasts though. I don’t lay on it. I WILL be getting a bigger can! If it works for my big idiot dog River, it’s bound to work for all dogs!!! Try it!!!

Useful training tool. Our dog erupts from the door onto the deck to bark at anything passing by. I now just show her the empty can and she stops. Mind you, she is a smart dog!

aversive tool - only use in emergencies - causes more harm then good if you use it on your own animal
