I have the miele complete c alize powerline vacuum. it has ruined my new hand tied rugs by pulling the yarn up. would this head be better?

We found that on the rug setting you have to open the suction release valve on the tubular handle part way. Otherwise there is too much suction. The head works fine with the adjustment.

Is this better than the old SBD 285-3?

The Miele SBD 365-3 was introduced earlier this year but isn't as good nor deluxe as the SBD 285-3 in a few ways. The newer one has a plastic bottom plate instead of steel, the brush strips do not wrap around the ends and instead of a wide roller on the back it has two narrow wheels.
