Hitchcock Box Set: Rebecca/Notorious/Spellbound/The Paradine Case [DVD]

Each of the four films are excellent - classics of Alfred Hitchcock, the master of suspense and intrigue of his age. The discs played perfectly. Highly recommended box set a reasonable price.

Four excellent transfers. Though "Rebecca" won the Best Picture award, it's certainly the least-interesting film in the box. The vastly under-rated"Paradine Case" is superb, though Valli is better-known for "Third Man."

The box set was just what I wanted ..I just love the old movies and that collection are a personal favourite of mine ..

Ok to pass the time, but not as good as some of Hitch’s stuff.

This box set shipped from overseas, and had a really long wait time. I was willing to wait because I couldn't find these streaming anywhere, and I already have a Hitchcock boxed set that I am very happy with, and this had no duplicates. I received an email letting me know that the timeline wouldn't be that long, and the shipping time was MUCH shorter than quoted. I am very pleased with this set, and the seller was amazing to reach out like that. Wonderful service : )

This (4) disc DVD of Alfred Hitchcock was the best value that I have ever bought! The quality was superb and the cost was excellent. Just consider: Notorious; Rebecca, Spellbound; The Paradine Case. Excellent!!

I didn't read the customer reviews before buying this set - I'm familiar with the movies, so I thought I didn't need to. Huge mistake! Many of the reviewers complained about missing some "fine print" saying that these movies will NOT play on DVD players made in the U.S. I don't remember seeing that ANYWHERE, so I went back and looked at the product description just now, and there is no fine print - nowhere does it say that it won't work in the U.S. I really wish I had read the reviews before ordering. I didn't try to watch the movies immediately after purchasing because I wanted to watch them with my daughter when she came to visit. It was only then that I discovered they wouldn't play, and it was past the 30-day return deadline, so now I'm out $28. Maddening!!! Unethical seller.
