I used this in a Dell E6540 Laptop and it worked well for 6 weeks then died completely while watcching netflix. After that the laptop would only power on when plugged in and if the battery was inserted the laptop would instantly crash and not power on again until the battery was removed.I tried several ways to fix the battery all of which failed.Contacted customer services who said since the battery is defective it cant be returned (since no carrier would want it) and theyd give a full refund (which was great).For the battery when it worked id say 4*, lasted for about 80 minutes ish so good enough for my uses where i wanted it mostly for the odd time the power cable would come out or wanted to use away from my desk though the 6 week lifespan was not good so would probably give 1*Ive given 2* since amazon was really good with the return so if youre willing to take the risk then youre covered though theres other alternatives out there which may suit you better and actually work.

My work involves travelling to various places and needing a reliable laptop when I arrive. I bought this battery to replace a genuine failing Dell battery. Dell are absurdly expensive, so this seemed like good value for money. I have had no end of problems with my Dell laptop shutting down unexpectly even when fully charged. I have even tryed this battery on another laptop and had the same issue. A shame really because once fully charged, this battery life is excellent but not worth the hassle of unexpected shutdowns. I know they are expensive, by genuine Dell instead.

The instruction booklet says the battery will be supplied 70% charged and that it's important for the first few charge cycles that you don't allow it to be completely drained before recharging, sounds simple enough except for the fact that the battery had 2% charge in it! It shows that it will take 2 hours to recharge but charges in less than an hour, then shows it will last for 2 hours but lasts about 40 mins! Initially the charge drops off slowly but then it suddenly jumps to 3% without warning. It might do this from 40% but it seems to vary a LOT.I will persist with the advised charge cycles for the next few days even though it's difficult to not let it run out of charge when there is no warning. If it continues to do this it will be returned for a refund.

It doesn’t work for a Dell Inspiron 5520 Even though it’s advertised as doing so. I put it in the battery bay but then the screen wouldn’t open fully. The overhanging portion interferes with the lid mechanism. So I returned it the same day and got a standard sized battery. Shame really. I would’ve liked a 50% longer battery life.I still haven’t got my money back from Amazon either. They say they pay back in 4-5 days from receiving the item. It’s been 10 days and still no refund. Come on, Amazon. Get your act together.

This was a replacement battery for my DELL 6340 which has a 69w battery but this version is 49w so won’t last as long. Nevertheless I now get 2.5 hours of battery life compared to the 1hr I was getting with my last battery. However do bear in mind the wattage.

I've used this product in a Dell Latitude E6420, and it's had about 10-15 charge cycles. First few times I got around 3 to 3.5 hours of internet use, but that didn't last long. Now down to about 2 hours, it reaches about 30% then plunges to 7% in a matter of seconds. Wouldn't mind if I'd only paid £10-15 for it, but as I paid £35 (including delivery charges), I'm not very pleased at all.

Slightly more capacity than the standard Dell battery pack and cheaper as well. Also same size as standard, so no extra bulkiness.My Dell recognizes it as a Dell battery and says it has 'Excellent' battery health, whereas my old battery was poor - would only last 15mins.Hope it lasts as long as the original battery, only time will tell, but looking good so far.

On buying what is an alternative product you sometimes expect it not to match perfectly. Well I can honestly say this was a better fit than the original battery. Easy to install, came with over 30% charge which was unexpected and quick o fully charge. Delivery was quick (early)and efficient a very pleasing experience would use this company again
