REMOVE BLACK PLUG!!!
Brilliant bit of kit that fits perfectly. Bought it as we bought a new washing machine but panicked the new washing machine was broken because it wouldn't drain. Even flooded the whole kitchen draining the machine manually!! Now black plug is removed our washing machine is working perfectly...word of advice is to always read reviews first!!!

Works perfectly but check fitment
This fits perfectly onto a 40mm thread of the domestic waste pipe. The grey hose from my washing machine pushed firmly onto the barbed pipe without needing any hose clips.Before attaching the grey pipe, REMOVE THE BLACK BUNG FROM THE PIPE. I had assumed it were an insert, but a few hours later and having flooded my kitchen I discovered my faulty installation.

Faulty batch
I already posted this review once with a picture to prove it using a Vernier caliper and Amazon blocked it! The packaging is printed with 40mm as the size but the actual product is 52mm. Other reviews say exactly the same. I'm returning mine. Don't buy.

Good product
It fits perfectly. Doesn't leak at all. Perfect for the connection. The black plug has to be removed.

REMOVE BLACK PLUG
Great price. Exactly what I wanted but sadly I read the reviews to late and got stuck with a washing machine that wouldn't drain till I read Pugwashs review and took it apart again and force the black plug out and my machine thankfully is draining happily
