Greek mythology paired with slow-burn romance and witty banter!
What a ride! Greek mythology just got a serious glow-up with Girl, Goddess, Queen. Bea brings a fresh, exciting twist to the myth of Persephone and Hades that had me hooked from the first page!I’ve always loved Greek mythology, having studied it during my literature days, but Bea’s retelling takes it to a whole new level. Her version of Persephone? Bold, fierce, and unapologetically her own woman. Instead of being the damsel in distress, she chooses her path, and the chemistry with Hades? 🔥 Talk about slow-burn romance with layers of witty banter! The writing is simply immersive, with a modern edge that makes these ancient gods so relatable. Bea’s style makes complex mythology easy to understand while still keeping the charm and depth of the original tales. I couldn’t put it down once I started!I’m definitely recommending this onw to all my fellow readers. If you love Greek mythology with a feminist twist, strong protagonists, and an unforgettable love story, this book is for you!#GirlGoddessQueen is a must-read for YA fantasy lovers and mythology fans alike! 💫

An Honest Review!
Fitzgerald masterfully blends classic mythology with modern sensibilities, creating a compelling narrative that is both witty and insightful. The relationship between Persephone and Hades is a highlight, evolving from a contentious and adversarial dynamic to a slow-burn romance that is both passionate and deeply moving. Persephone's journey of self-discovery, as she challenges the patriarchal structures of Olympus and embraces her power, is inspiring and empowering.Girl, Goddess, Queen is a must-read for fans of Greek mythology, romantic fantasy, and strong female protagonists. Fitzgerald's witty prose, engaging characters, and fresh perspective on a classic myth make this a delightful and unforgettable reading experience.

Slaying Titans and Stereotypes: ‘Girl Goddess Queen’ Is a Mythic Must-Read
Girl Goddess Queen started off like a sprinter on caffeine for me, but it smoothed out as the story progressed. By halfway, I was completely engrossed. The book skillfully balances contemporary elements (without turning Zeus into a Kardashian) with the timeless essence of Greek mythology. It’s like a mythological sitcom — plenty of laughs with a side of deep thoughts. Readers, whether fans of classical mythology or those new to it, will appreciate the exploration of patriarchal and misogynistic themes, juxtaposed with a growing sense of feminism.Hades, the unexpected feminist icon, stole the show for me. Who knew the lord of the underworld was breaking gender norms on the side? And let's not forget the slow burn between the main characters; from their friendship to their banter 🤌🏻I adore the supporting characters. Styx and Tempest are the spicy toppings to this mythological feast, adding zest and sass to the underworld's makeover by Persephone and Hades. There's enough story here to make Homer jealous, but the sequel potential is as vast as the sea.Read if:- you like mythological retellings- witty banter + slow burn- spring season- greek goddesses- lana del rey

The Hades Persephone retelling of my dreams! 💖
"So, if I need to give the gods something to fear, then very well.I'll give them Hell itself."-Bea Fitzgerald, Girl, Goddess, QueenPersephone wants the world but her mother, Demeter, and her father, Zeus, just want to get married and become the docile wife. But the last thing she'll do is marry some narcissistic God, no thanks! So she jumps in to the Underworld and "convinces" Hades to let stay for a while. Her plan? To show Mt. Olympus her real strength, only she'll need to convince the reluctant and annoying ruler of the dead to go along with her plan.I have read quite a few Hades Persephone retelling over the years, since it is one of my favourite Greek myths but I was yet to find my favourite one. There was always something missing in them. Until this one. This was the Hades Persephone retelling of my dreams. I found no faults here. None.😭💗I am absolutely going to scream about this book for the rest of my life. I loved it soooo much. It was the perfect combination of Badass Persephone 🤝 Cinnamon Roll Hades and I never knew I needed that combination so much in my life😭I think I am going to just scream about this book for the rest of my. I just loved it soooo much. It was the perfect combination of Badass Persephone 🤝 Cinnamon Roll Hades and I never knew I needed that combination so much in my life😭The character development of Persephone from an innocent young girl forced to live by her parents' rules to becoming the Queen of Hell and realising her true power was simply magnificent! She is such a QWEEN throughout the book and I just loved her so much from the very beginning and till the end. She's the feminist icon that I needed so bad in a Hades Persephone retelling. As for Hades, he must be protected AT ALL COSTS. I would go on war for these two istg. The two had the sweetest dynamic and brilliant chemistry. The most supportive partners ever>>>Oh and the friendships here??! So beautiful!! I never knew I could love Styx sooo much🥺💕😂Anyway, PLEASE read this book. It was without a doubt, my favourite read and only 5🌟 read of August!💗Very grateful to @penguinindia for sending this my way!💖
