Hot Wheels 1989 Batwing

This so cool to add to my little collection. It is so detailed. The stand makes it even cooler. You can't maneuver it to much it will come off. But still amazing.

Skeptical about the figure at first. Got it on sale. Packaging was good and came in a great condition. I open mine, but if you like yours in-box I'd give it 8.75~9 out of 10 it did have a sticker from seller at the bottom that can be removed with some goo-gone (removed it before taking photo). No die-cast from what I can tell, but I believe that is how it was manufactured. Glad it's finally in my collection.

My bad for not confirming prior to purchase that this item is made out of plastic rather than diecast metal, like other vehicles in this line. It was only after opening the packaging (also not noticing the somewhat light weight) that I realized my error. Admittedly, that's on me.As for the item itself, the upper part of the main body has a nice glossy finish, but the rest of it has a matte finish. I wish they'd done the entire thing in gloss. Once you see the difference, you can't unsee it. It's okay, I suppose, especially as I have no other model of the Batwing, but if I knew then what I know now, I wouldn't have purchased it.

Most folks have their favorite incarnation of Batman. For me it is without a doubt the 1989 Batman film from Tim Burton, starring Michael Keaton. The design of the sets, props, and vehicles were fantastic; largely due to the vision of Anton Furst. This Hot Wheels recreation of the Batwing from that movie is a nice piece of nostalgia and even better if you have the '89 Batmobile as well.

The item came as described and without any problems or issues. Glad Amazon had it because the toy scalpers in my area wanted double and triple the price.
