LanardPrimal Clash! Big Boss Gorilla! - 17'' Action Figure, Giant Poseable Mega-Monster, Ages 3+

The media could not be loaded. So there are some issues with the Big Boss Gorilla by Lanard Toys. First off he has a metal screw to secure him to the back of his box. I first tried a small hobby screwdriver and it didn't work. Second try was the one on a swiss army knife. It took the 3rd Phillips screwdriver to finally get him out of the packaging.In order to get the 7 inch girl in his hand I needed to use a hair dryer on his hand to soften the plastic in order to open up his grip a bit. I don't think she's coming back out again. Not unless I repeat the blow dryer process. His arm also doesn't stay in place while holding her due to her weight.He can temporarily hold a 12 inch Godzilla before falling over. Main point is despite having gripping hands the bigger the figure he holds the more likely the arm to lower by itself or he falls over.That being said the figure has great articulation, especially the range of movement in its head, jaw articulation, and his sheer size makes him the best giant gorilla you can buy.He scales well with most toy sizes even towering over the 14 inch Zurg made by Mattel. He dwarfs the normal 12 inch kaiju figures out there.He looks great in black and white too. The articulation allows for a more traditional gorilla pose, even while still holding a figure in one hand!He's very durable. Thus far he's fallen a couple times but not damaged. He can hold a generic hollow T-Rex just fine.All in all this is worth the price. The issues don't outweigh the positives. Hope these photos and video help!

Excellent quality and durability, great for rough kids like my son who throws it around like it has no feelings. After a year it's still in the best condition.

I love the size of this Kong and the functionality of it! My grandson is obsessed with King Kong and Godzilla so this was his third and but far the biggest and best one yet! His mouth can open, his arms and legs move, and he can hold on to things with his massive hands which is great for imagination and playtime. I would buy again definitely.

This gorilla is HUGE and awesome. I got it for my son because Circuls Alegrias was in town and my son fell in love with King Congo, an enormous animatronic Kong Kong knockoff. So I got him this guy, who has a huge presence in his play area.

I bought this out of curiosity as I’m a big Godzilla, King Kong, dinosaur & kaiju collector. After seeing a few reviews I pulled the trigger and I’m honestly pretty impressed. I wasn’t a huge fan of Lanard’s other big gorillas like their 2017 Skull Island Kong and the Rampage George figure, as I think they’re kinda clunky and awkward as well as not being very accurate to their movie designs. but this big boss one I think they did pretty good with. Of course this is an original in house design, however it hits the notes the previous figures missed. He’s got a good sculpt with lots of wrinkles and scars and a good bulky muscular body. Articulation isn’t the greatest but it serves its purpose. I would’ve liked some knee joints and ball jointed hips as opposed to swivels. The paint is decent, nothing mind blowing but it gets the point across. It’s mostly light and mid grays with some dry brushing. It would definitely benefit from a repaint and I think this is a good canvas for repainters to make a black and white Kong or go brown. I took some comparison photos with other figures, so he is quite compatible with multiple lines. Overall for the size and price, he’s definitely worth the investment and the shelf space if you want a decent large size kong on your shelf.

King Kong is on of my favorite movies. Big Boss King Kong is so big and tall, 17 inches. I love looking at him. The Coolest Toy ever.
