Time will Tell. So far, Recommend.
when I purchased this product, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The box was simple when I received it, it was missing the gloves and the spatula tool but overall the install went relatively well. It does take about two hours to do depending on your skill. After installing, the battery registered at 5300mah, which was well within the acceptable range. When initially installing the battery, it displayed as having five charges. Assuming those five charges were factory tests I am relatively happy with that outcome.I am certain that a lot of people run into problems with their batteries so I will give my advice. When initially charging this battery for the first and maybe even second time, find yourself a USB-C to USB a charger and take the time which could be ours to charge the battery on the 5 V instead of the normal USB-C adapter. This will allow the charge to slow slowly trickle into the battery for the first few times and not destroy it. I also don’t recommend charging your battery to 100% after buying it. Since none of us here probably want to do this again, you can Google for yourself how to implement charge limit in modern macOS versions. I would recommend a charge limit of 80 to 90% for this battery if you want it to last.overall, I am currently fairly happy with this battery. I have done many reviews and replaced many batteries and so far this one seems legit. One thing I will say when removing the old battery try really hard not to bend it too much. And dispose of it at a local store that takes them like a batteries plus.

Very complex installation
Product itself is fine, and comes well-packaged, complete with needed tools. But the replacement process is quite complex, and the instructions, even with photos, are very complex for MacBook Air, and several steps are still ambiguous and confusing. I am pretty handy but still decided this was too sophisticated for a non-professional to accomplish. I am returning it.UPDATE: I decided to proceed with installation, made a few good educated guesses, and was successful! Note: Some other brand equivalents provide excellent online video step-by-step guidance.

Missing tools and supplies, poor adhesive, battery dead/not recognized.
Well this was kind of all around a bad purchase. For what it's worth, I was an AASP for about 10 years and have done many complex hardware replacements on MacBooks of all shapes and sizes. I noticed a few things immediately when I started this repair:• There was no #00 screwdriver included with the kit, which is necessary to unhook the USB C port on the logic board. Had to go borrow one from a friend mid-repair.• There was no adhesive remover to help unstick the old battery that needs replacing (this is commonly included with other providers). Had to go get some Goo Gone / adhesive remover from the store.• The adhesive on the new battery was very, very poor — just a handful of cheap sticky labels like you'd put on the signature pages of your taxes. Didn't stick at all, but the MacBook is so thin it doesn't really have to I guess, it's not going anywhere in there.Ultimately though the biggest issue is that the battery didn't work at all. X over the battery icon in the OS, didn't work if not plugged in. That's after NVRAM/PRAM and SMC resets too, just in case. To make sure it wasn't something I did, I actually took the new battery out and put my old battery (which still worked, just had high cycle count) back in. It worked great. Took it out. Put the new one back in again. Didn't work. So I can say conclusively it was the battery from this provider that was defective. So I've requested an exchange and we'll see if the one I get in a couple days works any better. Will let you know. UPDATE: Second battery was also defective. Don't buy from this vendor.

Poor Battery
I has been a little over 3 months and this battery is now fading. It started with about 5 hours of use-time, but now it has faded to about two hours. It even loses charge when the laptop if off/closed.I had expected a better use time with a new battery. Sorry guys, you need to do better.
