Great product. Neat. Does the job.

it works but the tip has to be right on top of the leak.

Works great, way better than the soapy water trick. Does take a little bit to warm up and tricky to learn and use for the first couple times. I love it, tots worth the $10 I spent on it.

I bought a cheap,($40) methane detector to find leaks in an old natural gas pipeline running across my farm and did have some luck finding the large leaks but once I put this one to work I found at least a dozen the previous detector missed.Without spending thousands it’s pretty hard finding a better, more sensitive detector. The cheap model detected a min. 50 ppm methane. This detector will detect 5ppm methane. That’s huge!Also this one detects methane in the air 3-4 feet off the ground where as the cheap one did not.

doesn't seem to charge itself very well. good price but probably should've spent more for a better functioning one .
