Von Mises is a genius. This one book, if read and understood, proves beyond a doubt the fallacy and conceit of all attempts to eliminate private ownership of the means of production and exposes the naivete of central planning. How Marxists can still believe in the fantasy of Marxism is astonishing. Von Mises shows how State Socialism, Syndicalism, Collectivism, and any and all other forms of collectivist thought and Statism are folly. If colleges simply required this one book to be read in economics and political science courses, no graduating student could ever, in their right mind, vote for any left-wing Socialist political candidate ever again.

The book arrived early and is in excellent condition. The print, while not a usual publishing font, is clean and easy enough to read. It’s not smeared or hard to read as some reviews indicated.I am looking forward to setting aside some focused time to delve into this. I hope it’s not written in $64 words only for elites!

It is no exaggeration to say this text changed my entire world view. Mises lays out a case for capitalism that is unabashed, carefully defining and comparing true free markets to socialistic approaches from an organic moral construction in the tradition of pure Austrian theory. It at once made me an Austrian, an instant Mises fan, and educated me on the errors in my previous thinking on these subjects.

A critical analysis of socialism and all of its variants that is just as applicable today as when it was first published. While the progressives tout the utopian dream and draw more and more unsuspecting voters into national financial ruin and generational dependency, this text will demonstrate the reality of "From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs"
