Really a wonderful design. Feels like a high-quality microplane grater at a very good price.
We just got this (and I washed all of it off, though it came spotless). It seems very well made. I love the design, and expect it to work very well, indeed. I noticed that the cover, placed over the back can hold just a little of the grated product, probably plenty, but if it isn't- I will update. Since the grated stuff will be under the blade, it looks like you could grate enough to pile up too high, and be surrounded by the frame making it (1) hard to pull the cover off, and (2) a bit of a mess. We'll see...UPDATE: It's a real keeper. It just works as I'm sure the designer(s?) intended.

I love the size and the easy to hold handle. I really like that it has a cover. Cleans up easy. Stores away well in the drawer.

Amazing for zesting and Parmesan
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Love love love! Can use my Parmesan block right on my Caesar salads and zest lemons perfectly. Also garlic

Safety cover fits both top and underside
Wonderful rasp-style citrus rind grater. Comes with a safety cover that can be used on the underside as a container to catch grated rind. This makes it easier for someone with weak hands to grate citrus rind without trying to make the rind fall in a specific place. It is much more comfortable to grate this way. I put citrus in almost everything, so grating rind in quantity is necessary for me. Using the cover to catch grated rind keeps the rind from going all over the kitchen.
