I bought these in a whim to put up two shower corner shelves surprisingly the one drill bit I used cut through the 4 holes needed like butter, no grabbing or bouncing, perfectly good for the job I was doing the other 9 bits will no doubt outlive me!

Decent drill for ceramic

I had an absolutely nightmare trying to drill through some bathrooms tiles a few weeks ago. I had a drill bit, which looked a lot like these, but it honestly took me over two hours to drill two holes. I was literally sweating trying to do it. While I did so the drill bit eventually broke because I had been using it for so long the heat just ruined it.With these, I probably took less than 30mins to drill four holes. I couldn't beleive it. They are perfect and better than anything you will spend a lot more money on in a DIY store.The only thing I'll say is I don't get the orange coating. It comes off pretty quickly, but to be honest that had zero impact on performance.To drill the four holes I used one drill bit and it remains intact to drill another day.

I've worn out a lot of tile drill bits lately, lots of different makes and price points, making holes in some really tough 9mm ceramic tiles. I am using the slowest speed possible, no hammer action, and irrigation with water during drilling.Usually what happens is they start off OK-ish, then within a few holes, cutting slows down a lot. Finally the tungsten carbide spear point falls off after 2-5 holes. I accept these things are disposable. I haven't tried the really expensive B*sch Pro type, just too costly.So I bought 10 of these Gumpla bits, not expecting much because of the low price. Wrong! They are good. They are a little more difficult than most to get started without wandering, but I can't be bothered with masking tape. The tip is, I think, ground a bit different - less of a needle point. However, once started they are fastest to get through the tile of any I've used. Even better they are still cutting pretty well after 5 holes, and I've not yet had a tip fall off.I wish I'd tried them earlier. I'd have saved £50 on the others, from DIY outlets, which cost more and were worse.Bonus point: the set of 10x M6 came in a nice case, not shown in the Amazon ad.

Did manage to drill holes in tiles but it was not like a knife through butter as someone claimed, and drill bits could only be used once as they burnt out.Dogberry.

We went to visit a relative and they needed help to fit a bathroom cabinet onto a tiled wall. The drill bit used just wasn't getting through the tile. I looked up what type of drill bit was needed. These ones, with their tungsten carbide tips, seemed the best ones to go for. I had them sent direct and apparently they made a perfect job of drilling the requisite holes in the tiles, which turned out to be at least 1cm thick.You get a sturdy pack that can be used to store them in, with 5 different sizes - 4,5,6,8 and 10mm. of drill bit The current price of £8.75 is good value for money, in my opinion.

Fragile, each one wore out after one hole. I've no idea where the 5 star reviews came for this product, but they can't have used them!
