OXO 1261180 Good Grips Batter Dispenser - White

The media could not be loaded.  I was in doubt about dispenser quality because of the reviews. I've purchased some other products from OXO before and all of them are great quality so these reviews got me really confused saying that the dispenser is not working, but anyways I decided to try it. And I don't regret I did it. Looks like negative reviews are the result of improper use and they're not defining the true quality of this dispenser.For me is working great! You just need to be sure that BOTH sides of the bottle are tightened really good so it will not let air out through them. The only problematic thing for me is that I really should put a lot of pressure for batter to be dispensed, but that's how all dispensers work so that's OK. Also using regularly, will get you used to it. Overall, it's a great quality dispenser as other OXO products.

Well, it holds an entire batch of waffle batter (enough for about 10 waffles), but that is the only good thing i can really say about it. I made up the batter yesterday, filled the dispenser and put it in the fridge. This morning, there was a drip in the lid to cover the valve, but no big deal, i had sat it on a paper towel in case this happened. Heated up the waffle maker and tried to put some batter in to make tasty waffles for breakfast. Only a small dribble came out the nozzle, but a lot of air came out the top. I thought I must have not put the lid on properly, so adjusted it and tried again. This time the bottom of the dispenser came off, and the entire batch of waffle batter came out, hitting me, the kitchen unit, the washing machine and the floor (which pleased the dog), a roll of paper towel, much swearing and a change of clothes later, the kitchen is looking presentable and the dispenser is in the bin. I definitely would not recommend this item and really wish i had paid attention to the reviews before wasting my money.

batter would not come out of the nice, so i figured out that you have to flip it upside down, once then tip it over and it works. Love the product.

I've used this dispenser for the last couple of years on my catering van, making scotch pancakes. It worked very well but recently, after much use, began to fail. I ordered a replacement and was very disappointed to find that the seal at the top of the dispenser failed almost immediately. Thinking this must be a faulty one I ordered a second and the same thing happened again. I will not be ordering a third. It's probably a cost cutting exercise but it's rendered the whole thing unusable. I suppose it may still be suitable for light domestic use.

I'd been looking for a dispenser for yogurt for a while, and this one seemed to fit-the-bill. I make my own yogurt and then decant it into this dispenser. I don't store it in the fridge lid side down, as there is no need. It's very easy to take apart to wash. There is enough room to get your hand in the deepest part and then feed through a t-towel to dry the narrower top area. The silicone nozzle comes away from the cap, for ease of cleaning. The plastic tube is easy to squeeze, and the dispenser/nozzle has worked well so far. I'm very pleased with this bottle; however, I do not make pancakes so will never know if it's fit for purpose, but it suits my needs perfectly.

Nothing wrong with the quality of this item but in my opinion its not fit for purpose!If you make the dough to the right consistency and try to pipe it with the "star" nozzle in it just won't come out!!!!I tried it without the "star" nozzle the second time, same result!!!! Doug came out in blobs!!Perhaps if the inside was oiled before use, that might help, I haven't tried that yet!!!!I ended up transferring the mix to a large piping bag!!! SUCCESS!!!!!

This item was purchased to fill deep muffin tins with Yorkshire pudding batter. The previous similar item was bought was picked up in a supermarket around pancake day. However, I found this hard to use. The idea is simple but you need a strong grip to use it. I wouldn't want to portion anything thicker than this batter through it. A cake/ muffin batter would be too thick for me to force through. Perfect for purpose but not for old or arthritic people.

I chose this over a simple ketchup style bottle, as I have bought OXO Good Grips before and really rate the design, durability and ease of use. BUT this product has failed me. I can not stress enough that this really does not work. The idea is great and I was sold on the lid / stand and design to keep spare batter in the fridge etc. The problem is you CAN NOT squeeze the batter out. The valve does NOT work. The screw lid also lets out air. So squeeze away, and the air comes out, but NO batter. It really is a bad product. If I could give zero stars I would. I do not recommend this product.

This batter (in my case, cupcake batter for mini cupcake pans) filled the tins with little mess unlike all of the other efforts I had used. Sometimes a little clunky but overall very happy.

L'idée est bonne mais une fois que la pâte est dans le distributeur on en perd le tiers et qui plus est il faut forcer pour la verser.

Also, da meine Frau Gluten nicht verträgt, mache ich sehr vieles selbst. Unter anderem natürlich Pfannkuchen und Waffeln. Hierfür wollte ich etwas, was die Sauerei mit Kerle und Löffel in meiner Küche eindämmt.Ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Einfüllen und Dosieren geht sehr einfach, und da man das Teil in der Spülmaschine waschen kann, liegt für mich der Nutzen klar über dem Aufwand.Leichtes Aber: Der Einfülldeckel muss fest gedreht werden wie der Teufel, sonst drückt sich oben Luft raus statt unten Teig. Das hat man schnell raus, aber ich finde es braucht etwas Kraft.Fazit : Mit einer kräftigen Hand das perfekte Teil um (alles Folgende ausprobiert) Pfannkuchen, Waffeln und Muffins um machen bzw. deren Teig kleckerfrei zu dosieren.

simple, easy to clean, worked well with most batters, but struggled with chocolate chips, however our family all went "Keto" and doesn't eat pancakes or other carbs any more. (+ side, we all lost weight, feel better and my markers for diabetes went away. our family doctor was quite surprised to say the least) trust the science....

Hab ihn gleich ausprobiert und bin begeistert. Funktioniert prima auch bei Muffinteig. Einziges Manko: Es bleibt ein Rest in der Flasche.
