There is nothing to dislike. I managed to buy this at a great price and it is more than worth the money, I now have the necessary ‘day’ light to work on my oil paintings well into the evening hours. Really versatile too with the extendable tripod and easily moveable clip. A great product built to high standards.

Brilliant lamp, I’m using it for one year now and absolutely happy with it, i was searching for an artist lamp for more than a year, and this one is absolutely the best one for its price.Pros: Very bright, not getting hot, has special secure fastening, so you don’t have to worry that it will slide down. The holder consists of four tubes - So you can remove some where necessary. The cable is long wide- it’s important! The fastening can be attached to really wide areas of the easel, I’ve attached mine to the largest part of it - around 6 cm. I use the same lamp bulb for one year already.Cons: the holder is lightweight and not stable enough, so it’s better to install it in some quite corner. The light is VERY bright, perfect for surgeons, but make it hard to work with oil because of the glance, but this is the problem of all the lamps, so you have to get used to it, first few sessions was quite hard for me.

This lamp gives a superb light which really does reproduce daylight. This has given me a far longer working day this winter without the irritation of colour shift, disappearing yellows and eye strain that ordinary artificial light produces. I really like the clamp lock that stops one accidentally sending the lamp hurtling down the pole and portability of the lamp. The whole unit is easy to move about whilst being pretty stable and being able to clamp the lamp straight onto my drafting table is handy. There are several things that I am unhappy about. The goose-neck is rather short - about 5 inches- which limits how it can be angled.That there is no on/off switch incorporated into the cable and the length of the cable itself, which I think is too short. This is the height of the stand plus about 4 feet which I have found needs to be supplemented with an extension cable before I can plug it in, which gives me something else to trip over in the studio. For most painters this is a sizable outlay and a little real-life research in studios would have shown how the design could be greatly improved at very little cost.

I am a professional artist and I bought this with uncertainty - it's a bit expensive for someone trying to sell art for a living. Now I can't imagine working without it. The stands a little light, it is especially unsteady when the lamp it at the top but I have no other complaints. The fact that you can detach the lamp from the pole is also great as it can be clipped on the easel or on a shelf nearby for a better angle The light is powerful and pure and is distributed evenly. I work with it even in daylight as it allows me to control the consistency of the light for my time lapse videos. In winter its especially useful. I also use it when taking photographs of completed paintings for marketing and prints. Would buy it again in a heartbeat and without any guilt. In fact I have my sights set on their easel lamp for smaller works, although this one would do for them just as well.

A functional and stylish high output light which works well in a domestic setting as well as a studio. The good quality metal frame is sturdy and stable and the light cast is just the job for close art/craft work and reading. The light is easily adjustable and easily moveable as it has a tripod base rather than a weighted one. The tripod base is sufficiently large to ensure that it will not topple over. Some minimal assembly is required but all very easy and no tools required. Although the initial outlay is quite expensive I do think it worth the investment as I spend a lot of my day engaged in close, fine work.

That’s the best light I got in my life, the price is not the best . And also I tried to find a lamp to replace in case of any damage but I could not find it.

This light is an absolute dream! I have another older light from the Daylight Company that screws to my work desk and gives off the same light intensity. The combo of beautiful light shining from opposite sides is an absolute game changer in my studio space as the lit area is obviously larger and more even than when using just one. Would recommend this if you can afford it. I really like the adjustable height too.I will be buying a sand bag though as the base is not sturdy, as mentioned in a few other reviews here. Given the price I do think they should work on this. Happy anyhow!

Die Lampe ist tageslichthell, damit sehr gut für ein Studio / Atelier geeignet. Die Klemmvorrichtung lässt sich überall festmachen. Lediglich der Standfuss ist nicht besondes stabil, leicht kippelig, da es aus einem leichtem Material gefertigt ist (Alu?) Die mitgelieferte Glühbirne ist perfekt. In der Beschreibung stand, dass die Lampe "nur" mit einem englischen Stecker geliefert wird - der deutscher Adapter ist aber in der Lieferung mit dabei :-)Die Lieferung kam 1,5 Wochen früher, was natürlich sehr nett ist.
