These do work if you actually follow the instructions.
Irritated by false reviews here saying these don’t work- they do. You have to FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS which are simple yet these people just dunk the thing in water. You can’t.You have to build the ink up THICK by layering it so you draw and then let it dry then go over it two times. Then slowly and I mean slow as a turtle - go into the water just a tiny bit in a BOWL where only the outer edge and corners are touching the water until they start to float then slowly submerge the rest and it’ll float off the spoon. We have no trouble with this product and love it. You aren’t doing it right if it doesn’t work for you. It’s simple and there’s no different markers. It’s any dry erase but because these are made for this the ink is more flowing and doesn’t take as long. If you have a shred of common sense this will work for you. It’s not rocket science 😏

Doesn't work
I tried this today with my 5 yr old grandson. After he took his time making his best drawing he gently slid the mirror into the water and the drawing turned into a stringy glob of nothing. I also gave it a shot making simple shapes and the same thing happened. Worse than something out of a gumball machine. Can't return we already used it. UGH...waste of money. I also thought this was the one that made tattoos it's not.

It’s ok for older kidd
I bought this for my four-year-old granddaughter. She is a little young for it. I had to be with her to show her how to use it, and it was not as easy as the video has shown. It would be perfect I think for older kids. However, I must say it is exactly how they pictured but the video just made it look like it was easier.

It works, but need to really follow instructions
This does work, but you really need to follow the directions and practice a bit.1. Use a deep bowl because it helps to be able to fully submerge the spoon to get the drawing off.2. Water needs to be very warm, as water cools I noticed it was less effective.3. Spoon worked a bit better than mirror for me.4. Go over the drawing a few times with the marker.5. GO SLOW when submerging in water. This really is the key. Dip the very edge of the drawing into water and wait a second or two, the warm water will lift the edge...then slowllllyyyy start to submerge the rest of the design...it's as if the water is peeling the design a way like we peel away a sticker.Once we learned the technique we had very little issue getting our drawings to work! My 5 year old was able to do it on her own, only with a few hiccups if her drawing was too thin.

This product is a total fraud!!
Firstly, only the very smallest of shapes, and I mean smallest, actually disengage from the spoon or magnifying glass., and only a few even disengage. We measured the temperature of the water and it was exactly right. If you tried to put one color on another, for example black eyes on a red ladybug, it didn’t separate from the spoon or magnifying glass at all. Finally any shape over 1/4-1/2 of an inch in size that separated from the spoon immediately turned into a string.Very disappointing. I bought this for my grandchildren for Valentine’s Day. I plan on returning it.
