Beautiful Quilling Step-by-Step : Boden, Diane, Jenkins, Jane, Cardinal, Judy, Wilson, Janet: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: Books are still to be valued - I chose this book as just starting out with Quilling, it offered three different authors with a variety of designs and instruction. Being of the older generation. I find it difficult to follow a new craft/idea on the internet and still value books. My order was delivered very quickly and the book arrived in excellent condition. I have found the book to be invaluable with the instruction it contains and very easy to follow. I have created my first designs and I am very pleased with the outcome. Even if you are skilled at quilling, this book is still very handy for the designs and templates. For those interested, check out the middle section for the free standing fairies and angels, they are just beautiful, can't wait to have ago when I am a little more experienced. I also received a follow up email from the Company, to make sure I received the book and was satisfied with it and the service. I certainly am, I will recommend to all crafters. For anyone who is thinking of having ago, this is a very relaxing and satisfying craft and not as difficult as you might think, have a go. Review: Beautiful book, easy to follow, excellent value - Beautiful book that caters for both the beginner and the more experienced quiller. Excellent step by step instructions, colours are vibrant and inviting. I am new to this hobby, this super book is really helping me grasp the basics quite quickly.

Great introduction to paper quilling.
This is a great book for a beginner and intermediate. Basic steps explained and more detailed ones if you want to have a go at something more technical. Beautiful pictures and lots of great ideas to try. I think I will be using it for many years.

Detailed Book
This book is basically made up of four different books into one which, unfortunately, does mean some repetition of basic techniques, tools, paper and equipment needed. It has 192 pages. I had done a small amount of quilling to use on hand-made cards before buying this book and would consider myself a beginner, but I found it easy enough to follow. Part One: This section concentrates on floral patterns and includes instructions on fringing, filigree shapes and husking. I’m not a fan of the patterns included but you can get plenty of ideas from it for making your own. I did use one of the patterns already to make a greeting card (see photos). Part Two: This section is about 3D quilling. It shows you how to make pom-poms, tendrils, tubes and cones. There are some great fairy, angel and animal patterns – I love the mouse! Part Three: This section is about miniature quilling, using different sized paper strips such as 2mm and smaller. It also covers spirals and paper stick techniques. The patterns include some great looking chocolates! But also Autumn leaves, flowers, butterflies and fairies. Part Four: This section is borders and motifs. A new shape covered is the quilled rose technique. Patterns include flowers, wedding, babies and toys. The back of the book has the templates, which can be traced out for use.

Different designs
Four different styles in one which make it good value. Quilled Wild Flowers by Janet Wilson have some lovely examples of flowers and look good on cards as well as other mediums. Three-Dimentsional Quilling by Jane Jenkins shows a very different way of using quilling, 'models' of poodles, frogs, mice, cats, birds as well as fairies. Perhaps I will attempt them at a later date when I become more proficient at quilling. Miniature Quilling by Diane Boden Crane, Who would have thought of quilling chocolates, not me certainly but they really do look realistic and good enough to eat!! Her other designs including some fairies are also delightful. Quilled Borders & Motifs by Judy Cardinal are also easy to make and excellent. I did not realise this section was in the book and had purchased the book separately. All in all good value

Il libro non è in italiano, ma ci sono le foto di tutti i passaggi per la lavorazione, alla fine le spiegazioni scritte non servono. Ottimo per iniziare.

In my pre-bifocal life I spent many hours in thread-work -- simple to complex crochet, knitting, cross-stitch and hardanger. I just can't see well enough now to do that fine threadwork and really missed it. Quilling is incredibly simple to learn, inexpensive; projects work up very quickly, and I can SEE what I'm doing! I can tell already the design possibilities range from very simple to very elaborate, yet easy to make. I'm just beginning, and am so glad to have gotten this as my first book on the subject. It gave me all the basics, supplies needed, and illustrated clear instructions for the different quilled shapes used in designs. There are full, illustrated instructions for many beautiful projects, all wonderful on their own and as future project inspiration. As a retiree, I have to think about the value of any purchase, especially those "optional" ones made for simple enjoyment. I consider price versus value in enjoyment, and at roughly $20, this book is a tremendous bargain.

Enfin un livre en Anglais qui est fourni en explications claires même si on ne comprend pas l'Anglais. Beaucoup de différentes techniques, papier glacé, je recommande ce livre
