Great sticks!

The Stretch 7A by Vater has fast become my favourite drumstick.I have always preferred longer drumsticks, and whenever I use standard length sticks, I find that I end up with the butt-end in my palm - which leads to a lot of dropped sticks!I've tried a load of different options at this length and diameter. My go-to for a while was the VF Steve Jordan signature stick. It's a great feeling stick, but durability was an issue. The Vaters, however, last an age!I also keep a pair of the 5A Stretch in my stick bag for more 'enthusiastic' musical settings!

Feel and sound ok.Would I buy again? Possibly, but do like the ProMark Firegrain ones (at the moment).But would be more than happy to use these!

A very lightweight stick that I would recommend to any funk or jazz percussionists. The stick is slightly longer than a traditional 7A measure which I found was very comfortable, especially in situations when you are playing on the bell of the ride etc. as it provides a slight bit of extra reach. The rounded tips are my favorite as they offer a defined edge which are great for dynamic cymbal work. However I would not recommend these sticks for drummers or percussionists that play heavier funk, blues or rock as I found the sticks do not tend to last long when coming into contact with the edge of cymbals. But overall this is a good quality pair of drum sticks by a trustworthy iconic brand that have been in the industry for years.

Absolutely cracking pair of sticks. Slightly fatter than a regular 5B from VF or Promark. Well balanced with plenty of weight for rock and heavier music.Durability is second to none. I have had sticks from VF and Promark that have lasted a couple of days before splitting or snapping. Not so with these. A few chipped tips here and there but a pair of these can last several months of abuse.Highly recommended for all rock and metal drummers, and if that isn't you, have a look at Vater's thinner offerings - they are just as good as their fatter siblings.

Great quality nicely balanced sticks. Sticks are a personal preference size, weight and brand so on, so everyone,s preferred choice is different. I like these 7A Vater sticks the first set I have purchased from Vater on par with American Classics I would say.

I guess I'm a bit of a heavy hitter. I tend to go through el-cheapo sticks in about 20 minutes. I've enjoyed Vic Firth and ProMark sticks in the past but I wanted to try summat else for a change. These hickory 5B sticks are the heaviest I've handled, but they're certainly sturdy enough for the job. 12 hours of playing so far and they barely looked touched. A wee bit o' sandpaper and they'd look new. These have already proved to be a better buy than the cheap sticks by Stagg et al, and if they get to the 2 week mark, they'll equal ProMark for durability.

I love these sticks! The extra length is nice and the tips have really good articulation on the cymbals. I love the balance. Wish Vater had a loyalty program like pro-mark (D'addario), however these are usually about $5 cheaper than the other name brand sticks so I guess it evens out.

My son asked for these for Christmas. He gigs about every weekend and loves these sticks. Only ones he uses.

These sticks are light enough that my son can play for hours, but also durable enough that he knows they will last for a while. We've been through several brands and sets and the Vater Fusion's are definitely the preferred brand of sticks for the drummer in my life!
