Genuine Franke Carbon Dealk (New Code Franke 05) Water Filter Cartridge.

Easy to install. Very good quality

there is little that can be said about a water filter cartridge other than to say it fitted easily and perfectly. The water is clear and taste free. Delivery was also first class and I have no complaints. It is now some months on and the product continues to work well. The first cartridge has been changed and the inside of the container was clean and sound. Interesting got a reminder for changing cartridge from Franke UK Distributor offering new cartridges but at a much higher price. Sorry, but it pays to shop around and this supplier has worked well for me.

Have only ever used the Franke ceramic filters in my rather antiquated Franke. The ceramic ones become clogged very quickly but this new one is still flowing freely, Uncertain whether this is good or bad, but I do like the idea of retaining some of the natural minerals in the water.

The benefit we were looking for was scum less tea. We have moved into a hard water area and one of the consequences s that we gat sum on our tea. The house already had Franke tri flow taps. When we examined the filter housing we found that the previous owners had just dropped the filter in and not connected it so we were getting sum on our tea. We searched Amazon and found that previously the wrong filter had been used. In order to stop scum the Franke 05 had to be used and lo and behold we no longer have scum on our tea which is great.

For years I had been using the standard Franke filter, there was always some scale in the bottom of the kettle, not really a problem, but I thought I would try this de-alk version: a big improvement and no scale at all, will swap to this version in the future.

I purchased the official franke cartridge as I have the franke taps. I haven't used it yet as I didn't realise that a filter came with the taps but I am sure it will be fine.

Better than any of the other filters.I drink my tea without milk.This filter leaves no scum.
