These books are very small and thin, with simple stories, but for kids just learning to read they're very helpful. If your child is into TMNT then this set motivates them quite well. My 4 year old in reception uses these books to practice reading each night, and finds them much more engaging than some of the reading schemes from school, because it has his favourite characters in it.It's set out well so you can see which sound each book focuses on - like one focus on the short A sound, like jam, jab etc.. so those words will all get featured, and one will be the short i sound, others are slightly trickier sounds, and then you get a couple that are mixed.These are more specific phonic based than the normal step into reading books, and as mentioned they are smaller, so don't expect it to be quite the same as the other stand alone books, but it is a good set for kids of about 4-5 who are learning

My 5 year old Grandson loves these books. The Turtles are an excellent encouragement to read these stories. Simple one or two sentences a page. A great feeling to have achieved reading all 12 in one go 😊

I am so pleased I bought these. I've gone from having a 4 year old who absolutely refused to practice his reading during lock down to having a 4 year old who brings me another book every morning so that he can practice. He enjoys these far more than the books set online by his school, proof that one size does not fit all as he is now making efforts to read the story books we have at home as well, which he was avoiding before. Absolutely recommend these to help build confidence and enjoyment

Bought for my five year old nephew and he absolutely loves them. It's a collection of small booklets each with simple words making up a short story along with TMNT images. My nephew was so excited and immediately got them out to read... And now he takes them everywhere with him!

Box damaged and looked like returned item as seal broken.Each book has only 6 pages ,thin, flimsy overallnot worth the money as won’t last long with little ones.

This collection has a great range of stories and opportunities to learn phonic sounds, high frequency words and long tricky words. The images are creative too.

My daughter is obsessed with TMNT! She struggles with reading, so these were perfect for getting her interested in reading! There are 12 books which increase in difficulty. There are 'key words' at the beginning of the books which are a really helpful focus. Would recommend!
