Well recommended
Well made & easy to install.

Does the job but a bit bulky for me
This took me by surprise when it arrived as it was nearly twice the size of the socket I was replacing. That said, it still fitted OK although I was less happy about the drip hole required in case water found its way into the rear of the case. Surely this should be IP67 or better? Anyway, it's been fitted now for a few weeks, I've used it a few times and it does the job. The price was OK. If I had to buy again I'd consider looking at the size of the comparable units and getting a switched unit as I was uncomfortable unplugging the Karcher without first being able to switch the mains off. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

does what you expect
I fitted this by our front door so I could plug in the granny cable for our PHEV and leave it connected. Not that it will make much difference if someone wants it but I fitted a small padlock on it. Quality socket from a reputable brand, works as it should does not get warm even with a constant 10A draw so im happy. If you have a PHEV and don't want to go the full hog of a wall box then this socket is a good option wired up to a fused spur with some good quality 2.5mm.

Slightly different to the same model 5 years ago ... but a design improvement (stronger hinge)
I'd bought this type of BG outdoor socket about 5 years ago, and was a bit annoyed that the hinge at the top broke on it. However I thought I'd get another of the same (in 2025) and they have improved the hinge. So very happy with it now. The only slightly sad thing is that I thought I could just replace the front and use the old back-box, but the new design is slightly different too - so I replaced the lot! (The new model is also different as the front is attached via plastic quarter-turn fasteners. The old one used stainless steel screws)

Does the job
A simple and good value weatherproof socket. Just suited the purpose. The locking mechanism is easy to use and positive, unlike some others that I have had.

No isolation switch at socket
Initial look at product looks good, but open the socket cover to find "No isolation switch at socket " This item should have the off switch for safety's sake!
