Garlic peeler itself is a revelation. No garlic smell under the finger nails for days on end for me now. The crusher is a fair bit better than others I have used. It is bigger and beefier, more heavy duty and so crushes big cloves with ease. The swing out crusher element makes it easier to clean. The handles have the eyelet attached so these can be hung on the kitchen tool rack and hook set rather than letting it rattle around in the "useful things" drawer. Recommended.Update - Having now had a chance to use the silicone peeler gadget I find that it doesn't really work too well. It can loosen the garlic clove skin but is a bit gimmicky. It will inevitably get mislaid at some point and I probably won't spend very long looking for it :)

This but was one of my best buys and wished I'd done it years ago rather than struggle with peeling the little blighters. Took a few attempts to get used to the peeler before I got it right but there no stopping me now. Yeh it's one more thing to wash n clean but it's easy done and I feel like there less waste. Yes the actual crusher is smart and will leave the peel in its holder but I feel there is less waste and you get more garlic out if you peel it first. The item is very strong and not as much effort required to crush the clove as in other crushers so well done for whatever you done on that side. Easy to clean and it all comes apart easy enough to do that. Arrived on time and in a lovely presentation box and great customer service with emails providing contact details should there be any issues. More than pleased with this purchase. Would recommend

Received some three months ago & is what I had been looking for: Solid - I don't think even my husband could break it. And no paint to chip off & fall into the food being prepared. Honest & solid bare stainless steel. The garlic peeler tube works well, although I don't feel the need to use it much. Very prettily presented, but for an everyday kitchen tool I felt it was a bit over the top. No worries, though! Takes big cloves, good boy! Easy to clean, though sometimes fibres of garlic get stuck in the joints & take a bit more time to get out. A garlic press as ALL garlic presses ought to be - I think this one will still be with us in ten, twenty years to come.

This garlic press arrived beautifully packaged and did not disappoint. The peeler tube is a simple design and works really well, saving loads of time previously spent peeling cloves with a small knife.The press itself is the best I have ever purchased. I have owned many garlic crushers over the years, and they all had one thing in common. When crushing large amounts of garlic, the pulp wouldn't all go through the holes in the press. A fair bit would escape up the sides of the press and would make a bit of a mess. Also if you didn't want to lose half the crushed garlic, you would have to spend time removing garlic from the outside of the press, and pushing it back into the receptacle with a knife to be pushed through the holes.With this garlic press the press itself is a perfect fit and all of the pulp is pushed through the holes with one push, negating the need to be fiddling with a small knife to push half crushed garlic back into the press receptacle.Great design and a real time saver for a cook who uses a great deal of garlic in his cooking. Highly recommended.

Bought this and used it the day I got it. Certainly does the job and the instructions are actually friendly and funny (you'll see what I mean if you buy one). I used this for 2 cloves at a time and it had no problem mincing this ... It does suffer the same way all garlic crushers do ... you have to pick the skin out of the crusher basket after a couple of cloves. However that aside it feels very firm and feels like it will last a long time. The garlic peeler is good and washes easily. All in all I can recommend them all.

Got this as a present for my daughter as she's a real foodie. She loves it, it's a good sturdy press that with the tinest squeeze mashes the garlic to a pulp. the roller works like magic to peel the skin which is something I've never seen before, so that's a bonus too, large enough to take a whole clove. This product comes well presented, making it ideal as a gift for a foodie in your life, or for yourself. Well worth the money, you get what you pay for. love it

Had high expectations after reading about it, but as mentioned in many other reviews the garlic 'basin' is a bad design.With the way the metal folds together in the corners but is not welded or sealed together, you have to spend a few minutes after every use picking out all the skin from between the gaps. Really takes away from the convenience this press is meant to give, and have found myself going back to just dicing garlic with a knife.Shame, as the pressed garlic that does come through is great, and very nice to cook with. But, for me, cleaning the press makes it not worth it.

This garlic press has fantastic reviews on Amazon's US store, and after using it for a while it's easy to see why. It's very solid, can crush as much garlic as you can fit in and have the grip strength for, and feels like it will last forever. The holes in the press give just the right mixture of grating the garlic and pressing the garlic to release the juices, I've chopped garlic by hand for decades because "who needs a garlic press?" but the flavour is actually noticeably better.
