Previously purchased some of these for wife & kids: no problem.I charged this one to full upon receipt, then plugged into my iphone: dead.Update:AMZ shipped me a replacement overnight. But I foolishly discarded the shipping box.Returning the defective unit requires some extra care in packaging bc of the lithium battery.Moral of the story: keep the shipping container for items like this until they've been checked out and known to be working.The good news is the replacement device works well.Secomd moral of the story: make sure you TEST devices like this for proper function upon receipt.

Very disappointed in this charger because when it was working it was so handy to have. Let me start off by saying that within two to three weeks of having this, it already started to stop connecting to my phone in the middle of a charge, even though I knew I had charged it fully before using it. So I contacted technical support and they told me it could be the charger that I’m using to charge the power bank. After swapping the usb charger that came with it to one I had at home, it started working again. I was relieved I didn’t have to return it because 1) I got this cheaper with a lightening deal and 2) I like how portable it is and it can really charge my phone to 100% depending on how low I let my phone battery go down. Flash forward to the three month mark and it’s starting to disconnect multiple times before charging my phone. Sometimes I can pull it out and plug it back in and it will start charging to full but lately it’s disconnecting every few minutes or it won’t connect to my phone at the very beginning and I have to pull it out and plug it back in a few times to get it started. Sometimes there’s a 5-6 second delay in connection. Long story short, it stops working after a few months and a waste of money!

This charger is very handy and met expectations in every way except one: the battery drained about twice as fast as I expected for a device advertised as eight thousand mAh, and ran out of charge after recharging my phone once.

My only dislike about this charger is that I can only recharge my phone one time before recharging the unit. It also doesn’t stay plugged into my phone if I’m trying to use my phone at the same time as charging. The solution is to lay the phone down so it stays securely connected.It is relatively small and not too heavy (some weigh more than the phone itself). It fits nicely into a purse or backpack, so it’s easy to keep handy.

I'm really impressed with how this little charger has held up. Charges fast and the charger can get my phone to full within the time frame suggested. Certainly surprised me with the quality of it. Only thing I can think of is the little adapter for type C cable devices could be more secured and planted in the device itself and also when you put the attachment on the chargers main plug. Other than that still worth it.

Charger with plug-in lightning connector works well. Note that first photo is misleading: It does not plug in face-up as shown, you have to invert the adapter to plug in to avoid the lightning cover tab from interfering with the Home button on iPhone 8 Plus.
