Its a good movie, besides the ending.SPOILER:He bumps into the detective going out the bank, BEFORE the detective even has the ring diamond (thats whats hes going into the bank)Then again the detective goes to the restaurant and still has the ring diamond.And then he goes home and has a small diamond.. so how did he lose the diamond?The move shows the scene where the guy bumps him assuming he snapped the ring diamond out of him.. but he DIDNT HAVE THE RING DIAMOND AT THAT TIME, thats why hes going to the bank, and only after he gets it.So yea, good movie but really bad basic mistake in the end. I dont know how they could missed this.

I really liked the plot of the movie, Spike has really outdone himself - not only has it got a fantastic cast but he has shown that he can do more than just Black films or biopics. What i didn't like isn't to do with the film but more of the fact i fell asleep during some parts of the movie.Overall definitely a classic that i will be watching again the cast was brilliant.

This is a great movie. The construction is marvellous, and, yes, that is the question. Almost lazily leant into as we start to realise this bank heist ain't over soon. If everyone is dressed as a painter-decorator, who is the painter-decorator?Best line, tho - to an innocent Sikh guy, working at the bank, who's been brutally taken down by the police: "At least you can get a taxi round here!"

I thought i had not seen this but whilst i was watching it I recognised bits of it. I like most movies with Denzel in but i feel Clive Owen aces it in this one though Denzel was still excellent. The plot is engaging and clever with the odd nod to director Spike previous life as a political director. TBH the core value of the film was unusually (for the director of Malcolm X) the building of Western wealth on the back of the gassed Jews - one of those embarrassing little events we do not get taught in history class!!The execution of the heist itself is masterful and you do not understand it until you get right to the end of the film - even though i had seen it before!! The favourite little scene which again is loaded with social commentary, was "baddie" Owen looking at the black child's handheld game (which basically was black men blowing each other's heads off, calling each other MFs and killing anyone walking) and Owen saying "i need to go and see your Dad about this game". Of course, all the main characters are black or ethnic, it was a clever mainstream film making lots of social points but keeping it action.

After Howard stepped down, his Imagine partner Brian Grazer began looking for a new director to helm the project. After Menno Meyjes turned down the chance to direct, Grazer hired Lee to helm the film. Principal photography for Inside Man began in June 2005 and concluded in August of that year; filming took place on location in New York City.The film premiered in New York on March 20, 2006 before being released in North America on March 24, 2006. Upon release, Inside Man received a generally positive critical response and was a commercial success, grossing over $184 million worldwide.

Very good. Enough twists in this heist thriller to keep you on your toes, but not enough to make it ludicrous (eg The Prestige).Good cast, mostly good acting. Two minus points... Jodie Foster (to *her* credit) does as much as is reasonably possible with a character that is poor, a script that makes a difficult to believe character even harder to get to grips with. However, it's not enough and her amoral toubleshooter is a poor component of the film. Oh, and the root of the problems being ill gotten Nazi gains? zzzzz. Okay, maybe it's difficult to come up with original basis for heist thrillers, but if you're going to use the Nazxi bad guy thing as the root cause, then at least expand and detail it well.As good as Denzel W is, Clive O is even better. He is a more natural actor I think, and I think only needs to make sure he doesn't become over confident or arrogant, to turn in a good performance.

Inside Man or How Spike made a hollywood film and still preserved his style and critical approach.This is not just a excellent crime film with a great plot and actors, but proves how a moral and almost political subtext can make the crime pot even more compelling, intriguing and engaging.Brilliant twists and dialogues reinforced by the idea of the state of siege around a bank that discloses secrets and hidden truths buried for ages.A great narrative solution.Excellent blu ray that let the burning lights as well as the dark moments of the photography gloriously come out

For some unknown reason this film makes very racist jibes against brown people / Arabs along with frequent references to Arab terrorists. Shame on black director Spike Lee for producing this cheap nasty drivel.
