reliable and safe
These Torin jack stands are exactly what I needed for working on my cars. I'm a DIYer when it comes to car maintenance, and safety is my top priority. I've had some sketchy experiences with cheaper jack stands in the past, so I decided to invest in a good, sturdy set, and I'm really glad I went with these Torin 3-ton stands.First off, they're built like tanks. The steel construction is heavy-duty and feels incredibly solid. I have complete confidence in them holding my car securely. The wide base provides excellent stability, which is crucial when you're working underneath a vehicle. I don't have to worry about them tipping or shifting. The double locking pins are a great feature. It gives me extra peace of mind knowing that the stands are locked in place and won't accidentally release. It's a simple but effective design that adds a significant layer of safety. Adjusting the height is also easy and straightforward.Honestly, these jack stands are worth every penny. They're well-made, reliable, and give me the confidence I need to work on my car safely. If you're looking for a good set of jack stands, I highly recommend the Torin AT43005AB. Don't skimp on safety when it comes to working on your car – these are a great investment.

These Jacks, don't Jack around, neither should you.
After a whole lot of research, I decided to buy these Jack Stands. I need to start doing my own tire rotations again and other things plus my current Jacks are 30+ years old and in rough shape. Reasons I purchased this brand and type: I can lift and set with one hand. Footpads at base, so they will not dig in or scratch the asphalt or concrete and adds support to the frame. Good welds and well built. Additional Safety features and price. I paid $28 for a set so I bought two (4 stands total). I also purchased jack stand Pads to protect the three or more mid-sized vehicles (Toyota Tacoma and 2 SUVs) I’ll be working on. Torin is a respected name in the industry and this model AT43005AB Specs out to be one of the better ones. I have no desire to pay extra because it has red paint. These work Great and if your in the market for 3 Ton Jack Stands, I highly recommend these.

Good quality, but beat to hell
Bought them in "Very Good" condition for $34 instead of new for $42. So that was a mistake. For anyone looking at the options, just buy brand new. I was expecting the item to be one that was returned by a customer or opened at the warehouse, etc., basically new condition, but open box. The box looked like it had served infantry in Iraq. The paint was chipped with scratches throughout, with the only plus side being that there was no rust on the damage.I already have four Black Jack 3 ton single locking jack stands, but I wanted two more so that I can have one car fully lifted with another jacked up on one side for minor work, and if I'm working on only one car, double locking jack stands would be in opposite corners to give me time to get to safety in case things went south, towards the center of the earth.Other people were complaining about the jacks wobbling, but I didn't notice anything significant, at least comparable to the other four. I believe 5 of the 6 had minor wobbling (less than 2mm or so), but that may be due to uneven flooring or debris under the jack stands. Under load, they were rock solid.Others share the same opinion as me when they say they would have liked a system to hold the pin. As it is, moving the jack stands is not a stealthy mission. Carrying them was comparable to WWII air raid sirens with all the clanging. I would have appreciated a little clip or something of the sort on the side to put the pins in.Overall, they are decent. I'm a bit of a stickler for keeping things looking new for as long as possible, but I don't think I'll look for a replacement since functionally, they are excellent and fit right in with the other four jack stands. Was the $8 worth the condition, no, but like most other online sales, all you have to work with is a stock image, and this was a wager lost.

Safety
These are by far the best jackstands I have ever bought. Extremely safe in the construction, the welding, supporting bars between the legs and the locking pin has one attribute to it that I’ve never seen before and that’s a little clip so the lock doesn’t slide out like all the other ones do. Very well engineered and I highly recommend them.

So far so good!
I have used these a few times now and I feel confident resting my vehicle on them. They appear to be well made.

Worth It
Welds look good overall. They were sturdy and stable on slightly uneven blacktop. (Used on second notch)Base height almost too tall for my 2Ton Big Red trolley jack; make sure you service your jack if using something similar, mine just needed a little more fluid to reach necessary height.
