Make a real difference when I have to stand for long time. Arthritic ankle would scream at me before using insert. Do yourself a favor, get more than one. Swapping out to different shoes alot since they work so well. Good quality and comfort.

I have a very painful case of plantar fasciitis, bad enough to finally go see a doctor. I bought these inserts after my podiatrist specifically told me to use these inserts (she wrote down the name Protalus) , and told me to replace them each year. The inserts, shoes she recommended, stretches and exercises are all helping. I am very satisfied with them and plan to buy new Protalus inserts in 6 months.

My feet are more flat than arched, but they still need arch support. I specifically chose these inserts because they weren't for high arches, were highly rated, and to be honest, I figured for $60 they would be of good quality. They fit in my shoes perfectly. That is about the only positive I have to say about them. The arch is not only a little too high, but its location within the foot is off - it's too far back, so the front of my heel is partially over it. Ouch. In addition, the arch shape goes across the foot - so the outer side of my foot feels like it's got a bar underneath it - which has also caused foot discomfort even after I take my shoes off.

My orthopedic doctor recommended me to have this inserts and at the first day using it my pain in my foot is getting better.
