Cambridge English Advanced 2 Student's Book with answers: Authentic Examination Papers (CAE Practice Tests)

We use this book in our school to prepare our students for the Cambridge CAE exams. Results so far have been excellent. Most of our teachers love the book. excellent in every respect....the only thing lacking is more of the same....a bit hard since they haven't actually had more exams. For anyone wanting to take CPE this book is a must. It gives you actual exams, gives the answers and provides essay models. All of this is grist to the student's mill.

I use this book as a last preparation course before the exams. It's very helpful and the students enjoy working through it. I certainly recommend it to everyone preparing for an exam.

the solutions come with helpful advice, for example marked examples of writing. however, if you're looking for anything like "what does an essay look like", this book is not for you.

excellent hand book for practicing the English exam, unfortunately I decided not to take the exam at the end as I was told that the certificate only lasts for 3 years. I will definitely take it in the future when I return to live in Spain.

This is a very good practice text, which tell me how to prepare for the exam. Highly recommend to those who want to take such an exam.

good tests with detailed keys

I have found this book useful as it contains sample papers for the Reading and Use of English part, the Writing part, the Listening part and the Speaking part. It provides answer keys for the tests; however, it would have been helpful to have some writing samples to take a look at so I could have had a better idea of what is expected from the candidate. As I prepared for the CPE test at home by using this book and a few other sources that did not provide writing samples either, I was not really sure about what was expected from me when doing the Writing part of my test. When I get my results I will be able to write about whether studying only at home can be enough to achieve a successful result.

Diese "echten" Prüfungen sind sehr gut für die Vorbereitung für die CPE-Prüfung geeignet, weil man mit ihnen auch die Zeiteinteilung für die jeweiligen Abschnitte üben kann. Außerdem merkt man, wie sich die Punkte der verschiedenen Teile addieren. Das Buch gefällt mir sehr viel besser als das Kursbuch, das wir benutzten, da dort sowieso die Erklärungen bzw. der Grammatik-Teil dürftig ausfallen. Erklärungen kann man also auch in einer traditionellen Grammatik bzw. im Internet nachschlagen.
