Fastest small adapter that I've had.
I'm using it with a Linux based laptop. Linux systems often have problems detecting USB add-ons, especially adapters. The laptop was manufactured in 2005, so Linux Mint should've recognized the three previous adapters I tried, but it didn't. The other brands were Asus, TPLink, and "Bros Trend," which a Windows computer identifies as a Realtek 8811CU. I ran a speed test on all for adapters on a Windows machine, and this adapter was between 10-20 mpbs faster that any of the others. I was surprised because both the Realtek and Asus adapters have a large antenna, so I would've expected them to be faster.I'm impressed that of all four adapters, this one was the only "plug and play" device recognized by Linux Mint. BTW, Mint rarely has problems with ethernet adapters or built in wireless. I have found other versions of Linux that had no problem detecting the other adapters. One of the others that's pretty good at detecting hardware is Ubuntu Mate, but it really needs more than the 2 gigs of ram my old Sony has.

Finally! A Wi-Fi 802.11ac adapter that works well with GNU/Linux!
My order arrived on time and in excellent condition. I got this adapter for my older laptop that has an 802.11n adapter built-in because I wanted the improved performance of the newer technology, and I need it to be recognized in GNU/Linux. This Panda adapter works as advertised. I could not be happier! If you use GNU/Linux, and you want a highly performant Wi-Fi adapter, this device could be the one for you. It certainly is for me!Ernie

Decent wifi dongle, a bit weak for my purpose
I bought this for use in a raspberry pi travel router. This internal chipset is a mediatek mt7610u. I needed to install "kmod-mt761xu" and all was well.I needed to be pretty darn close for this to work as an AP. I just use it to connect a Chromecast in a hotel room so it does that fine.On PC it's plug-and-play and had no issues.
