I was looking for a small tea pot to make my own herbal tea. I came across this mug by accident. A lot of reviews mentioned it broke easily and didn’t recommend it.I love it, it’s better than a tea pot. Practical and stylish.I don’t put just boiled water in it as I would imagine that’s what causes it to break.Yes it’s delicate, that’s what makes it so beautiful. It’s worth taking a little bit of care when using and cleaning.

Suits my purpose quite well. The glass is high quality and I prefer this type of strainer over the metal ones.

Cracked/ Broken inner cup

This product is a little bit delicate but very easy to use and clean. If tea gets stuck in the slits, a cheap toothbrush will help.If you fill it right up to the top it will make a full mug of tea. Due to how low the strainer sits in the base, you can also make a smaller (Japanese tea cup) sized brew and it will still infuse properly.The strainer will sit perfectly on the lid (turn the lid upside down) to catch drips while you wait to clean it out or make a second infusion. By the way, you should always make 2 infusions of quality tea such as Japanese Sencha.A tip to get the best results from this: Do not pour the water into the top of the strainer. If you do that you will find the tea gets stuck in the slits and it does not brew properly. This usually happens on the second infusion. Instead, pour water into the cup first, and then lower the strainer into it slowly - which pushes the leaves back up. I found this works perfectly and gives the best brew. A side benefit of this is you can allow the water to cool slightly while in the base before you add the strainer - important for green tea.The only negative thing about this is that it is delicate - hence the 4 star rating. If you are careful however it will be fine.

Fantastic company. Bought a few tea pots, glasses and tea over the years for gifts and for myself. This is my second glass purchased as I find it tedious to serve a pot for just a couple of guests. The presentation is just lovely and I find it elevates the experience of drinking tea. Washing up by hand is easy. I just use bristled brush and a few strokes removes all leaves in strainer.

Love this cup - fantastic size for those who really love their tea.I just wish it came with TWO lids - one to keep the tea hot while the infuser is draining in another. I guess I can always purchase a spare lid :)

Nicht nur schönes Design, sondern durchweg auch funktionell. Habe lange nach der richtigen Tasse gesucht – in dieser alles gefunden, was mir woanders fehlte. Praktische 1 Hand Version, leicht zu spülen. Dazu eine stilvolle Form, neben einem weit geschnittenem Henkel, der trotz gerade kochend heißem Wasseraufguss, nicht heiß wird. Und, Freude über Freude, das bleibt auch so – kein heißer Henkel, durchweg. Eine weitere Freude – gleich welche Farbe meine Teesorte hat, die ich einfülle, stets wertet das Glas den Tee auf, so dass nicht nur die Geschmacksnerven sich freuen (da der Tee lose eingefüllt und gut sich entfalten konnte – dazu kein Nebengeschmack, einzig voller Teegeschmack), sondern auch das Auge. Kurz: Klare Kaufempfehlung. Nebenbei, für jene die gern Schenken, auch die Verpackung ist durchweg funktionell und stilvoll.

Me encanta esta taza. Mantiene la bebida caliente, filtro muy cómodo. Y me gusta disfrutar del color de mis infusiones y del café.

Qualità del vetro buona e costruzione solida. Il filtro lascia passare qualche frammento di foglia, nulla di irrisolvibile con un buon lavaggio.
