Not sure what to expect when I bought this, but thought if it saves us buying a new TV then it's got to be worth it. Yes I've still got an old CRT (box) TV, which has worked perfectly for over 20 years. However times are changing and it only has one SCART input on the back. This breathed a little more life back into the old beast, making sure I can now use our new YouView box and Nvidia Shield through it..But it's not perfect. I do get the odd hissing and buzzing coming through the audio, only really noticeable when there's no sound playing. It does get a little hot, not so much to worry about, but enough to think it might not last long. And sometime I need to jiggle the SCART to stop it from losing the picture, but this is rare.All of this is not a deal breaker, and I expected some trade offs. When you're pumping in a digital signal, converting it to analogue, and then serving it up to an old TV it's not going to be perfect, and it does mean we can wait a little longer before we need to buy a new TV, and the longer we wait the better the replacement will be!

Use it to convert hdmi to scart on 20 years old plasma TV - I can now watch programs / films on Amazon prime, nerflix etc - easy to set up and excellent pictures.

Excellent, it does exactly as described, works well no issues or problems, highly recommended.

I am sure that after plugin this to my Amazon box last year , the Amazon box then did not work, Amazon said just send back the Amazon box we will give you another one, so i thought maybe not this Converter. well today clearing out things i came across this box. that i had not used, plugged it into an Android box , and now the Android box does not work, it did last week, i wonder if anyone else has had the same problem.

This is an easy to install gizmo that is a Godsend if you have for example, a Sky box or Freeview box, DVD player that has a hmdi connection but your TV has only a Scart connection. This nifty little device solves your problem. Simply plug one end of an HDMI cable into the eSynic device and the other end of the hdmi cable I to the Sky box, Freeview/Freesat box, DVD player etc. Next plug one end of a Scart lead into your TV and the other end into the eSynic device. With the eSynic you will receive a lead to connect it to the electricity. Connect the Jack end into the eSynic device and the usb end into a 5V power adapter. Switch the electronic trick on, turn on TV and whichever box you are using and sit back and enjoy your viewing. PLEASR NOTE; When your eSynic device arrives you get the device plus a usb plug and play cable. You need to have an HDMI cable, a Scart cable and a 5V DC power adapter before you can use this converter. I checked my phone charger and found it was 5V so I used it. Please note that the Amazon fast charger is 5.5V so I don't think you can use that and I wouldn't chance it either as it could damage the eSynic and void your warranty. I hope this has made clear what the device does and how to connect it.

I bought this for my elderly uncle who wanted to connect an old scart based TV with a Samsung Tablet.It works, but there is a degradation in the quality of both the picture and sound quality.As a means of bringing old TVs back to use, this works well, but don't expect high definition output.

Arrived on time, did exactly what It said, I needed it to connect my NowTv box to my TV in the bedroom that only has a scart connection not Hdmi. It works well. I will be trying it on the XBoxOne aswell, I have good faith that it will work!

Instalado en una Panasonic Viera de plasma de 2004 junto con Fire Tv Stick (no el 4K) y funciona a la perfección. He recuperado este viejo televisor. Obviamente la imagen no es la que podemos ver actualmente en un televisor HD o 4K, pero es muy muy decente. He conectado además una barra de sonido vía bluetooth con el Fire Tv y va muy bien. En general estoy muy satisfecho con la compra.

Quando dal MySKY sono passato a SKY Q, con mio grande stupore, mi sono accorto che i nuovi decoder di SKY non hanno più l'uscita SCART, uscita che usavo per collegarci un masterizzatore DVD. Chiesi al tecnico che mi stava installando SKY Q come avrei potuto fare ma mi disse che purtroppo non c'era alcuna possibilità di collegarlo. Dopo qualche ricerca in internet ho trovato questo apparecchio che appunto trasforma il segnale digitale di una HDMI in uno analogico per la SCART.Purtroppo l'installazione non è così immediata come potrebbe sembrare. Sorgevano due problemi; il primo era che proprio non arrivava il segnale video al DVD e il secondo era che quando il segnale arrivava dopo pochi secondi saltava. Dopo vari tentativi ho capito che per fare arrivare il segnale bisogna prima attaccare la presa SCART all'apparecchio, poi accenderlo ed infine accendere il DVD. A schermo compare un effetto arcobaleno. Solo a questo punto si collega il cavo HDMI all'apparecchio e in questo modo il segnale arriva.Il secondo problema era che il segnale dopo pochi secondi saltava e ricompariva l'effetto arcobaleno. Il problema derivava dal cavo HDMI . Ne ho provati vari che avevo in casa ma solo uno mi fa arrivare sempre il segnale.Alla fine sono soddisfatto perchè l'apparecchio funziona bene eil segnale video è di buona qualità calcolando che è pur sempre un segnale analogico.

Dank der "lieben" Telekom und ihren neuen Receivern (MR 200 / 400 haben keinen Scart Anschluss), war es mir nicht möglich, meinen alten Röhrenfernseher im Schlafzimmer daran anzuschließen. Ergo musste also etwas günstiges her, was das HDMI Signal in ein Scart Signal umwandelt. Kurzum:Das Gerät ist klein, einfach zu bedienen und bekommt den Strom über die USB Buchse vom Receiver. Das Bild und der Ton sind von der Qualität her wunderbar, nur eine Sache gibt es zu bemängeln, wofür aber der Konverter nichts kann: Da sich am Receiver das Bild nur in HDMI ausgeben lässt, wird das Bild etwas gequetscht dargestellt, da es nur ein 4:3 Fernseher ist, den ich nicht auf "Breitbild" umstellen kann. Aber wie gesagt, dafür kann der Konverter nichts.Schade ist zwar, das dem Gerät kein richtiges Netzteil für die Steckdose beigelegt ist, aber wenigstens ist ein USB Kabel dabei sowie eine Bedienungsanleitung. (Das Gerät erklärt sich eigentlich selbst) Zudem wusste ich, worauf ich mich beim Kauf einlasse.Fazit:Für den Preis ~ 27€ ein praktisches kleines Teil, welches genau das tut, was es soll. Bin zufrieden, daher 5 Sterne.PS: Auf den Bildern habe ich mal das Gerät hinterm Fernseher hervorgeholt, um zu zeigen, wie klein es doch eigentlich ist.(die Bilder wurden mittels Handy aufgenommen, daher sind diese leider nicht ganz optimal)AKTUALISIERT am 18.03.2017:Aufgrund einer Nachfrage kann ich bestätigen, das der Konverter die Betriebsspannung (bei mir) einzig und allein über die USB Buchse des Telekom Recivers bezieht. Wer eine USB Buchse nicht dafür "opfern" möchte, sollte sich ein passendes Netzteil dazu kaufen.Desweiteren funktioniert der Konverter immer noch ohne Probleme.
