Great stuff fast and easy best done when its warm outdoors. DO NOT USE ON DRYWAX JACKETS
Rewaxed my Barbour with this. One tin was more than enough for a waist length mens 40" jacket. No problems with spray clogging. I did mine on a hot day deliberately, just on a garden table in the shade and out of the wind.Occasional wipes of the nozzle is all that's needed. To the person who said it ruined his jacket, he clearly is not capable of using a spray tin and should have sent his coat to barbour for them to do it.Pick a good hot sunny day, not windy either as you don't want to use this indoors as the fumes are harsh on your lungs. I used a fp3 mask, but then I have a serious lung condition. Spray evenly in without stopping in one spot too long. Do one bit at a time. say one sleeve side or half the back if yours has a seam. After spraying I used one of the disposable kitchen sponges sponge side down to rub in to jacket fully and remove excess.Pay attention to any dried out parts and seams. Use a pair of rubber gloves if you don't want to be washing your hands to get the stuff off all day. When I had completed the whole jacket I hung it on the line and finished off with a hair dryer like the professionals do to get an even finish. This helps met any excess into seams and evenly distribute the wax.Great product so much easier and quicker than using a camping stove and a ban marie to heat the old tin of barbour wax and sponge on in the garage. If you need to do this in winter I'd suggest keeping the spray tin at warm room temperature before starting as it flows much easierMy Jacket looks better than new as it was glistening with wax after completion. After a few days it all settles in fully.DOT USE THIS ON BARBOUR DRYWAX LIKE SOME OF THE NEW INTERNATIONALS AS IT WILL RUIN THEM AS THEY DON'T HAVE THE EXTRA LINING TO STOP THE WAX GOING THROUGH TO THE INNER LINING.

Would purchase again
My Barbour is now looking much better than it did. The product took about 20 minutes to apply. Yes the nozzle blocks, but you can just keep wiping it. Do it outside as it is slightly fume-y. I rubbed the stuff in with a cloth. The can ran out slightly more quickly than I had expected, but fortunately I had managed to achieve full coverage. While it says that the colour is "black", my blue Barbour is now just looking a kind of normal blue colour. This method is much cheaper than sending the coat off to Barbour, which I think costs £35 or so. Recommended.

The fabsil leaves a nice shiny finish
I had two well worn Barbours to reproof, so bought a can of fabsil and some spray on waterproofer from the competition (you can read the review there). The fabsil leaves a nice shiny finish, almost leaving the jacket looking like new. Waterproofing fully tested (out in the rain for three hours), nothing got through and the jacket and it still looks shiny, despite having had a rough time beating on a shoot. Reason for four stars - it's a bit of a pain to apply - the nozzle kept on blocking and this wax had to wiped away. In fact I found it best to spray an area and then get my hands dirty working it into the fabric.

Product is fine but poorly packaged
The product seems fine but it arrived in a thin jiffy bag and the cap on the tin had split and some of its contents had been discharged. Fortunately enough left to protect my jacket.

The Wax in the mix jams spray, and makes it not fit for purpose
I shock the can well for almost a minute, but the can jammed with wax within seconds of starting to spray. I cleared blockage and tried again and again!! I took the top of and cleaned it in hot water, still 3-4 seconds of use and the nosel was blocked again! So I couldn't waterproof my coat,It smelt of parafine, and is wasted my money.

If Proof be need be
This stuff is brilliant but takes a bit of getting used to.As I am sure many people over a certain age can understand it is vital to have decently waterproofed 'attire' - especially if it has the potential to make your clothes look good as new and can be wiped clean easily.I found a tin of this will amply treat at least four pairs of average pants inside and out.The waxy feel is a bit odd to begin with but after a few days I hardly notice it any more.It certainly pays for itself as new underwear don't come cheap - especially at the rate I get through them.I'm definitely getting another tin of this for the wife as she probably needs it more than I do.It's a bargain when compared to the disposable alternatives in any case..

Great product so long as you keep the contents warm!
Works brilliantly. So much easier than wiping on solid wax. The reviewer who said it kept on clogging up is sort of right. I was using it in a cold garage and then second can did block up. I left it overnight in the warm kitchen close to the Aga and next day it worked fine. So just keep the contents warm before using it. 1 can did a large jacket (but it was not a full length one). 2nd can did a smaller jacket and still had some left. You do not need a lot, just a light covering all over then wipe with kitchen roll to spread it and it goes a long way, leaving a wet wax coating which dries out over 48 hours to leave it as it should be. Just ordered a 3rd can for another jacket!

Excellent
I have a Barbour parka which lost its wax coverage and I was looking at sending it to Barbour for a re-wax which would set me back £30 or using Barbour wax in a tin which just seemed like a logistical nightmare. I looked at this product and bought it. It's easy to see the coverage as the spray is white (although the white disappears). I used a microfibre cloth to rub it in. Easy to apply - it took me about 20 mins to re-wax the entire jacket with one layer of wax and used the entire can. If you have a long or large sized coat you may need two cans for full coverage.See pictures - where the coat is darker you can see the effect of the waxing. It's great. My jacket is fully waterproof again looks as good as new. Will definitely purchase again. It's not 'black' though. It's neutral colour which is perfect for my dark green Barbour.
