Clears blanket weed really fast

My pond has frogs,fish and plants so I am always reluctant to introduce anything that may upset things, especially the fish. However the elodea weed was beginning to get coated in thread algae and the waterfalls had become a curtain of green algae. Hand picking it out proved difficult and effect shortlived so used the Blanket Answer 3 weeks ago. Used 4 scoops of the powder as a conservative estimate of what was needed and within days the waterfalls were free of algae. Now the oxygenating elodea is also free of the stuff and swishing this around has got rid of the debris. The pond lining around the sides is also free of the algae. The pond filter has needed cleaning every three or four days but this is now becoming less of a requirement. The fish are healthy and feeding, the elodea is growing and has needed thinning out and water lilly leaves are growing well. My nervousness of using this product was ill founded and It has done the intended job very well. I recommend it.

We used this and within 3 or 4 weeks it cleared the pond but, the water level then dropped as it was so hot and we had no choice but to top up with tap water - more green appeared within a few days. We'd used a bit more than half the tub but used the other half and waited. The pond took a bit longer to clear but did eventually and has remained clear since, although the weather has cooled and there is not so much sun so the blanket weed would not grow to any degree anyway. We'd recommend it but it is a bit expensive if you have to keep using it so it is best to avoid using tap water at all, even if the water level gets really low. We've got rain barrels now that will hopefully be enough to get through long hot spells. It is the best treatment we have found so far but it is pricey if it needs repeating too often. We will be watching what happens next year but hope we don't have to spend more on it. At least we know that it works if we have to use it. It is nice to see the occupants of the pond again!

I had been using an alternative product for some years but for some reason this year it was unsucessful so I tried Cloverleaf. I was pleased that it cleared my 1,500 Gallon Pond within 3 days and after 7 days the water was crystal clear. It is important to remove as much of the blanket weed as possible before use to prevent clogging up the pump and filters. The water turned milky at first, so much so that you couldn't see anything in the pond but it started to clear after two days. I was left with a sandy bottom and no sign of the Blanket weed. The filtration system needed a major clean out but this was to be expected.

Only product I will use cleared a green pond in a few days. Bit scary when you add the treatment water was a very green milky appearance. Left it 4 days and started to clear. Followed up with cloverleaf sludge buster treatment perfect clear water and no more green algae on the sides and bottom of the pond. Fish were fine (koi and goldfish). 2 weeks on and still improving and no return as yet of algae

I can't say for sure if it was this product but within 24 hours of putting this in the pond i lost my 5 golden orfe, i saw one dead then looked around and found another and over the next two days found the last three, it says you cannot overtreat so i cannot say it was that. All my goldfish,comets and Koi were fine and it did clear the pond but i don't think it agreed with the golden orfe, i also have some golden rudd,very similar to Orfe and they were fine.

Photo 1 le bassin avant traitement le 21 mai - bien envahi des algues filamenteuses Photo 2 Premier traitement le 21 mai. Aucun problème pour les poissons, les grenouilles et les têtards Photo 3 le bassin suite a une deuxième traitement (le 25 mai) et l'algue filamenteuse est disparu sauf quelque petits endroit mais je suis certaine qu'il va disparaître en quelque semaines. I have a small preformed plastic pond in Florida. A few years ago I stayed getting blanket algae. I have tried many products. I was able to reduce it with other products but it was never able to completely kill it, so it continued to build on the previous year's build up. Then I found until this product! Finally! It took 2 applications but it's finally all dead. I will need a muck removal because it left dead algae stuck on the sides and I'll probably get the Cloverleaf brand again because this one worked so well. I'm very relieved and will buy this product again if needed.

Had to remove gobs and gobs and piles of piles of string algae every few days now it is all gone this stuff is a miracle worker.
