Well made. No separate spring, it’s part of the structure of the clip. Nice color of metal, not coated with anything that can wear off.

Very small, wished it was bigger. Seemed a lot bigger in the photos. Holds up well to daily abuse though, the spring mechanism to unlatch it is very stiff at first but after you use it and break it in it seems to get a little bit better.

I use it to hold my car's fob on the ring of my purse strap, then I clip it to a shopping cart when in a store to make it harder for someone to grab my purse.The gate has a strong spring and the whole thing looks neat and feels very solid. It would be great for hooking you keys/fob onto a belt loop too.

I’ll start this on a positive note saying that it is very quality material. But honestly, that’s all that I can really say good about it. It’s considerably smaller than what you might think. Please see the attached photo for a reference. I put it next to a very small carabiner that I was using and was planning on replacing with this new one. It is so incredibly small that you cannot actually hook it to anything. Your thumb literally is in the way of the opening in order to operate it. I thought perhaps it was just my old dexterity, but I handed it over to you my 18-year-old son and challenged him to clip it to his belt loop. He wasn’t able to do it either. So if you were actually planning on hooking your keys to something with this, it’s just flat out not going to work.
