The Book Of Daniel

I enjoyed watching it but wished they showed us a picture of Nebuchadnezzar's dream rather than just mention it

You can tell they were very limited in their budget, so some parts which should have had a set wide scene to convey to the viewer what's happening (such as the siege) are simply not there, and the throne Courts of the Kings are not displayed at all, but the acting is pretty good and the message is very well sent.It does the Bible no disservice at all, even if they may not be believers.5 stars for the effort, not the effects.(Swords don't go scchwwwhinng when pulled or sheathed which is nice).

I really liked this. It was not too dramatic. I liked the way in which each story of the various kings were told. I recommend that you watch it.

I found this refreshing, no recourse to the cast of thousands, CGI or special effects just story telling with a few costumes, yes some real lions (you won't see that in a theatre) a painted backdrop and good old fashioned acting. Whether you are religious or not, the message is clear, however powerful you are on earth, you are not the master of your destiny, that has already been written, you are just the player, acting your part and if it is done well, then that is the reward. I think this was done well.

Wow! I felt like I had gone to many centuries before me; this movie brought the whole book of Daniel to me in under 2hours, I had a deeper understanding, and the scripture made more sense in one encounter.I wish many more movies like this were produced to help give a real interpretation of the Bible.Once again, thank you for making this movie.

This is the second or third time I'm watching this movie and everytime it takes me right back to the bible. I love it!

I'm not religious. But even if i were, the movie is so badly made that the review won't change. Poor acting, poor dialogue delivery and lethargic show all around. No attention is paid to details and ends up creating boredom when where it could make impact on audience.

Films based on the Biblical account do not always meet expectations. Too often, representation moves so far away from the Bible that we are left with a ‘loosely based upon’ version of events. I was therefore pleasantly surprised at how well this film has remained with the original feeling of the Daniel text. Yes, there has been some ‘interpretation’ but for the greater part this is a very good re-telling on film. It would be difficult to include the entire book of Daniel and this film version only deals with the early historical section. Lance Henriksen seems believable as Cyrus and Miano gives a genuine performance as Daniel. I found it uplifting to see the Prophet stand alone and remain confident in his God in the face of his detractors. As for production values, it does look very average and something is lost in grand sweeping scenic backdrops you would hope for in a Biblical epic. When the camera cuts away from the actors we get a painting of the city or a painting of the golden statue. Yes, it is low budget and the effects are mediocre by to-days standards, but that’s missing the point. The days of Cecil B DeMille are long gone, focus on the narrative and look beyond the background. Overall, criticisms aside, a very good effort and not difficult to recommend.

The Bible has tremendous wonderful stories. I wish people with talent would research and learn deeply, honestly and TRULY before making a movie on a story. I'm sure they would be so enriched by doing so.

My friends, People attempt to make stories like this into religions.When is the "Truth" not the "TRUTH" ? Think about this now, because for me it's when it's a "Particle" truth. Too much "Wholly Weird" for me... This is just one more reason why God doesn’t want us to believe in religions of any kind. These books were put together by God inspiring certain people to put down into “Words” what God Himself wanted published as written “Words” telling the “TRUTH”. That’s it, and to learn from them, by “God”! “His Will” IS Done, on Earth as it is in Heaven, not ours. God and His most beloved Son Jesus the Christ do NOT have anything whatsoever to do with the cults or politics of mankind. In the first place religion is a man made method of gaming on people’s love for God. It is the tail end of politics which rips off the peoples wages in the form of taxes and ordnance fines of one kind or another and religion takes over when it’s time to take a Godly rest from our labors… in the form of a Sabbath rest. Our Lord God did not create us to be filled with Satanic fear, but the Spirit of the Holy Ghost, that's why Jesus cried out; "IT IS FINISHED!" so don't worry, be happy! Mazel Tov! And don't be deceived about what spirit is whom either...!! .. the Holy Spirit of God Himself Created His One and only Son, Jesus the Christ... through the Earthly handmaid of a Hebrew virgin girl named Mary... so that's One Spirit, God the Father's Spirit.. Jesus the Christ, gave up His Life willingly on the cross at Calvary, ( “no one took it from Him, or He would have died in vain."), so that He could give up the "Ghost", that He told His disciples will from thereon seek to live, teach, heal and Baptize through the hearts and minds of the believers of Gods most beloved Son, Jesus the Christ, the same way Peter did, the "Rock" from which we were carved from, his spiritual knowledge, and the Corner Stone Jesus, Chief Architect of His Church, ( the Holy Ghost) the One True Light of mankind through which only Him can one find personal salvation and no where else! Thank You Lord Jesus! Just so you know the difference.Now, remembering that the "Word" is God and should not be misused or abused as the "Word has the "POWER" of giving life or issuing forth death we should use great care in what comes from our pens or mouth... Like the kings edicts and the muzzles of the guns secularists or unbelievers like to brandish about as a means of using fear to control the mobs against the psychotic people who are in charge of our nations military might and are using it for their own corporate interests which translates to treating us as a heard of animals, they should be very mindful of where they are pointing those weapons grade “Words’, and at whom and what they desire to change with that Great POWER. Because God can do anything and “LEAST WE FORGET“, He is the “Word”, He can make changes exactly the opposite of what mankind expects to see from exploiting their faulty wisdoms through a corrupted knowledge from which were predicated false existences built upon prevarications contrived from people with differing values or divided interests… hence God said if you don’t want to believe the pure simple “Truth” out of a “Pure Godly Love”, then here, have a whispered shadow of something burned, a “Strong Delusion,” say’s the Lord, so that the liars will themselves believe the lie! 2 Thessalonians 2:9. Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10. And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received NOT the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 22. And for this cause God shall send them “STRONG DELUSION“, that they should believe a lie:12. That “THEY ALL MIGHT BE DAMNED” who believed not the “Truth“, but had pleasure in unrighteousness… Gods creation is so perfect that there is no thing that isn’t under His control, Good, Bad or Indifferent. God created it all even His only begotten Son, Jesus the Christ Savior of Mankind.  And He Created this particular Light, ( He named “Jesus“, a very POWERFUL name that evil can not tolerate…) smack dab in the middle of our mind ( the vagus nerve ) and our heart, ( thoracic cardio-pulmonary organs ), where it’s absolutely void of any visible light whatsoever.  So then “That Light” shines in a true darkness, and the darkness still, comprehends it not, in a lot of instances... Because where there is Gods will, there is a Way. Therefore, the More we Know, The more we Know we don't Know, So, Good, Better, Best, Our Lord Jesus never lets it rest, Until the Good is the better, And the Better is the Best, Then He says, IT IS FINISHED!
