First off, these guys use an excellent courier company with really good communication that gives you a half day and ultimately a half hour delivery time slot: this really helps and means you're in a good mood when the bed arrives. The bed is flat packed in three boxes, and the sheer number of pieces is quite daunting at first, particularly the hundreds of screws etc, but the instructions are mostly clear (read them all before you start!!!) and once you get your head round it all it's fairly straightforward. Some of the screws are very hard work by hand (in particular the bed slats) so maybe an electric screwdriver would help? The key move when you join the two end boards to the four back rails is interesting and leaves you wishing for several extra hands. It took two of us about three hours to fully assemble this bed, working in a leisurely and incompetent way and having several cups of tea. The end result is an impressive looking loft bed which is actually much sturdier than we were expecting: there is some movement obviously (it's a very top heavy structure of course) but nowhere near as much as we feared and we don't expect we will need to do anything drastic like anchoring it to the wall. We are very pleased with everything: a good product, faultless service and excellent value.

Best design for small rooms
I ordered 2 of these after house move, and my 2 teenage boys would need to share. They fit height-wise with just enough room to change the sheets and for the boys to climb in and out without much effort, but do check your ceiling height to ensure you have sufficient space.Be warned that it's likely you will constantly bang your head going into the underbed space,(like I did regularly, to start with), but with habit this reduces to avoid potential concussions. These beds have provided ample space for gaming set-ups for each teen, allowing them personal space too. There is a little movement of the beds, when getting in or out, which could be reduced if we fixed them to the walls, with the supplied fixings, however, we haven't got around to it, as they are sturdy enough without drilling more holes in the walls.Building these beds, however, was a feat! The instructions appear to have been written by a carpenter/engineer, so aren't for the faint-hearted.Each bed took several hours to complete, the second one, only slightly quicker, due to knowing the mistakes made on the first build. When, at times, the instructions, said 2 people were required. We struggled with 3 or 4 of us, almost losing the will to live, but in the knowledge that we had completed one. When placing the mattress slats and long support bar and brackets, ignore the overly complex instructions, and simply lay a slat on, mark where it rests in the middle of the head and foot boards, and attach the brackets there.6 months on they are still standing, comfortable enough for older teenage boys, and easier to clear out the dirty socks/debris from underneath. It wouldn't be fair to blame the bed manufacturer, for my inability to decipher their comprehensive instructions, but I would have rated 4.5 stars for 'ordinary folk' to erect.Don't expect to be an ikea flat-pack.

Awful Instructions
The assembly process is maybe the worst I have ever been through; it’s not hard because it’s complicated, but because the instructions are AWFUL.The instructions were blurry and almost impossible to read, it looked like a photocopy of a photocopy of a photocopy, and they read like they had been run through Google Translate about 6 times. I think the worst problem was the fact that they were ALSO the instructions for two other items sold by this company, which lead to a great deal of confusion. The parts came poorly labelled, mixed up, and in two bags for about 12 different kinds of parts.Pieces of the frame were meant to be marked with chalk which had rubbed off.The bed looks fine. It feels like it could collapse at any point, and the fact they want you to glue the screws in place with wood glue does NOT inspire confidence. To be honest: it’s expensive and wobbly. The instructions are hard to decipher and unhelpful when you do, and if I still had the old bed, I would’ve returned this one.
